I don't disagree that Tebow is far from perfect, but if I'm Jacksonville, I take him, Vince Young as his backup and a 3rd QB as the read option guy and just say "fuck it ... let's go for it."
Jacksonville's attitude about Tebow reminds me of Buffalo with Doug Flutie. Let's go with the prototypical pretty boy instead of the winner. The pretty boy has all the intangibles, except for actual fucking winning.
Bills paid for this thinking with their stupid playoff loss to Tennessee.
Jacksonville will likely end up with Chad Henne as a starter and 5 or 6 wins with 1/3 of the stadium tarped off.
Honestly, what did have Jacksonville have to lose going full retard and just giving Tebow one year? Blaine Gabbert? Really? Chad Henne? Really?
If I own the Jags, I say to the GM and coach ... give Tebow one year. Run an offense/offence that's Tebow friendly. If it works, woo! We sell out the stadium and win. If it doesn't, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Instead, the Jags go Gabbo and likely, at best, finish with 6 wins and never sellout the stadium all year.
