I'm glad the Wizards got the 3rd pick. I honestly didn't want them taking Anthony Davis. After the last 10 years of watching our post players get thrown around the paint, I really couldn't stomach another 200 lb PF. I want DC native Thomas Robinson in the red white and blue next year

I see your point, but Robinson seems a bit undersized to me. I've seen him listed at 6'9. but IMO he looks about 6'7" or 6'8" and those typers of PF's don't do much in the NBA. One thing that saves him from being mediocre is that he plays hard and with intensity. I can see him developing into a Brandon Bass type.

He's a high motor, physical post player who can play alongside Nene(who I believe is under contract for 3 more years). I see him more like Paul Millsap than Brandon Bass to be honest. He's a guy who will fight for all the rebounds and has the athleticism to get ahead in fast break opportunities. I can see John Wall and Thomas Robinson running the pick and roll to perfection over the next 5 years.

Millsap is a good comparison, but the issue with comparing Robinson to Millsap and Bass is that they weren't top 3 picks.The Wizards need impact players...Robinson should be a solid role player, but I wouldn't expect much more beyond that. IMO the Wizards should take the best overall talent.

Yes but guys like Mike Dunleavey Jr, Darko Milicic, Marcus Fizer, Adam Morrison, and Kwame Brown were. Looking back I guarentee those teams would kill for steady dependable production like Paul Millsap provides. A team like Washington cannot afford to flirt with potential and high bust risks. They need to take safer, more productive picks to avoid staying stuck in rebuilding mode for the next 10 years.

It seems fitting that New Orleans won it, and I agree it should be televised as to ensure its not obviously rigged but I think people jump on that conspiracy shit way too early.
