So GameStop is apparently doing a B1G1 on select cheap games on Monday. For those that have played these games, give me your list ranking them. I'm probably only going to get 4, so that's why I'm asking.
- Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
- Brink
- Bulletstorm
- Singularity
- Homefront
- Brutal Legend
- Stranglehold
I liked Homefront.
1) Enslaved
2) Singularity
3) Bulletstorm
4) Brutal Legend
5) Homefront
6) Brink
Enslaved is a great game, especially if you can get it for $5. I just recently played through the DLC for it, and then replayed some of the main game to trophy hunt, and was reminded of how excellent it is. It looks great, the voice acting and characters are awesome and the story is decent.
Singularity is an excellent and very under appreciated FPS. It has a lot of similarities to Bioshock.
Bulletstorm is a very interesting and colorful FPS but it can get extremely repetitive unless you really know how to mix up all the crazy combos you can pull off. Even then it is still repeptitive.
Brutal Legend is a really cool game, especially if you are a fan of rock music. Not being able to jump takes a while to get used to and the RTS stuff near the end, as Seth mentioned, is fucking horrible.
Brink is actually a really fun game if you can get a group of people to play because it's a four player co-op shooter that is based strictly around mp. If you play by yourself, not only is it difficult as fuck, but you're just running through the maps with bots. I actually own it for 360 and PS3 and have yet to even open the PS3 copy so that is something to keep in mind.
The best part of Homefront was the mp and I'm guessing that is a ghosttown now. The campaign had some decent moments but for the most part it had rote gameplay and story and it was unbelieveably short.
