All Metal Gear games or just MGS games? I played the original Metal Gear last year and absolutely loved it. I'd probably just go in order.

For someone that doesn't have a lot of time to play games, PS+ gives you plenty to play.

You can play the old 8-bit Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake from the MGS3 main menu. If you don't play those, I'd just start with MGS2

I only want The Show for PS4. Everything else I'll get free with PS+ , get on sale on Steam for PC or get it for Xbone (which I doubt I'll buy many games for either.

When I purchased the PS4, they were difficult to find. So, I just bought one when one was available.

I wasn't speaking on my own behalf either. Just answering the question in general. My roommate bought a couple games for it that I have no interest in as well.

Sold my PS3 btw. Only kept older system to use for netflix, mlb.tv, etc. in my room.

Oh, and Gt7 when it comes out.

I bought an Xbone only for Forza. Until they make every game for one console, I will have to do it this way.

Its really not a big deal. The 2 consoles still cost less than my PC and they will probably last me many years since I don't use them constantly. I will also not be wasting tons of money buying every single game that comes out, like many people here do.

I am a tech geek and love to have these things.

I have a xbox 360, PS3, Xbone, PS4, gaming PC, Wii, Laptop, iPhone, iPad, iMac , a Vita, I have a mint PSP somewhere.

My toys, have to have them.

I don't spend money on booze, smokes, I don't have a car payment. This is what I buy.

You could load up MGS3 and play the first two Metal Gear games that were on the MSX. They're in the menus somewhere.

Games? Metal Gear on NES is just a straight port of the MSX version, no?

EDIT: Never mind, I see there's some difference in level design.

I think the story is pretty much the same, but (as you mentioned) level design and the fact that you don't even fight the goddamn metal gear make it different from the original.

I still remember renting the NES Metal Gear back in the day. Back then all you had to go on was the cover basically. The dude on the cover reminded me of Kyle Reese from Terminator. I got that shit home and played it for about an hour and just thought "WTF?!? What am I supposed to be doing in this game?" That game was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of it's time. Stealth games were unheard of.

The totally unconfirmed but more likely than not true rumor for the Metal Gear cover is that someone just traced the Terminator still of Reese with his gun:

I'm past where you play as Snake and am playing as Raiden now. I like Raiden a lot thus far.
