The Arcade Random Thoughts Thread

$25 iTunes gift card and the sale today has me downloading games to my iPad 2 like crazy. I've already bought Angry Birds Seasons HD, GTA3, NBA Jam, and Command & Conquer Red Alert. Any suggestions from some more experienced mobile gamers out there?

I google it because the tiny manual that came with the charger is useless and only find a few articles. The one basically says this issue can occur if you don't leave the controllers on the docking station.

Are you fucking kidding me? So, the first charger fucked the batteries up when you left them charging and now this one is the exact opposite?!?

And to top it off now one of my controllers is as dead as that bluray remote. I've tried putting regular batteries in it, re-synching, etc. Nothing. Awesome.

I'm the same way with time gapping play with the Wii. I've used regular batteries in fear of what you've just gone through.
 
I think I'm going to pick up a Sony 7.1 headset for my PS3 soon. My regular bluetooth mic seems to be getting more unreliable lately.

This whole event has given me crap so far. I have 9 pieces of coal, a 25% off coupon for Valve and one for Square/Eidos, a 10% off coupon for Ubisoft, and a 50% off coupon for Greed Corp (which is 75% off now anyway).

I definitely recommend getting one. I got the Turtle Beach PX5 headset and it is so much nicer. With all the noise cancellations and audio presets.
 
Finished up Green Lantern:Rise of the Manhunters and 1000g scored it, it wasnt a bad movie tie-in, pretty enjoyable; but strictly a rental.

Gonna send it in to Gamefly and get Dead Island, STRIKE team takes over..

now Does ANYONE wanna finish off some spec ops in MW3[360]? let me know

I got Serious Sam: The Second Encounter and Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath (along with shitty Valve 25% off and Bit.Trip Runner 50% coupons). I don't have either but there are definitely different older games I would rather have if anyone's interested.
 
I fucked Super Mario 3D Land's shit up. I got all the star coins on ALL of the levels, including the Special Worlds. Some of the Special World levels were a bitch.

I was also able to get my NCAA OD game out of the way with my fifth win in a row to go 9-3.

Plus the STRIKE Team represented. We ran through the RAAM's Shadow DLC and finally polished off that Myrhha bitch to finish off the Insane playthrough. The new STRIKE Team member Big Daddy was the key I think. It only took us two tries.

Pretty successful gaming day me thinks.
 
Finally beat AC: Brotherhood. The end was WTF-worthy and made me feel sad for the first time since playing ME2.

I still have the DLC sequence to play, though.

I've been thinking about getting Dead Island as well to co-op with you guys. Also thinking about Renegade Ops to find some 4-player co-op action.

Definitley get RO. The only other people here that have it for Xbox I think are JMS and Swarley. And trying to hook up with JMS to play anything is nigh impossible, which brings me to...

Yeah Med. You will quickly learn that trying to co-op a game with JMS is harder than it sounds. When he is free he is usually playing Forza or NCAA.

Yeah NCAA takes up a lot of my nights and Forza takes up my Monday.

Lets play Renegade OPS!!! We basically have to schedule it....sorry I dont have alot of free time.....it is usally late at nite ans some times I pass out on the couch for a little bit with the controller in hand. :(

I can play anything Friday night!! But we need to schedule it otherwise I will drag my feet.

Friday might be good. Yeah, it sucks. When we were trying to play DH you always wanted to play at like 10:30pm which is when I was just starting my work shift. Now that I am temporarily on day shift that is too late for me because I got to sleep at like 9. LOL. That is a perfect time for Med though so I don't know why you guys haven't hooked up yet.

It does suck that I think there is only one co-op cheevo in RO. So dumb. And save the "You're the only one that cares about cheevos" b.s. It couldn't be more false. Med was pitching a fit last night because he couldn't get his Mauler cheevo in Gears. Ha.
