The Book of Eli

The best parts of I Am Legend were in the previews. I think the 10 secs the Lions were on the screen was the most exciting part to me.

They left so much out that it sucked. I would've liked to see the rise of the Vampire thingies and how they took over most of the country. 30 mins into the movie I started to wonder how the hell he thought he was the last man alive...
 
I found it to be a really good movie, with a great message in it. But the ending is what killed it.


 
WTF is with the tombraideresque shit at the end with what's her face? Easily could have cut that shit out. Movie should have ended by just panning up from the gravestone, if not earlier. Almost seems like they want to make a sequel with it

It's basically a sped-up version of the girl learning Eli's skills and what it meant to protect the book.

Her going East is just a reverse of the beginning and as for a sequel, it's kind of hard to do that when they're implying that the Main Villain's own people are murdering each other and therefore probably him as well.

If nothing else, the proof is his lone henchman beginning to load a shotgun while the Head Cheese is watching his empire crumble before him.

Purposefully blind herself to truly learn Eli's skills since he was blind like the Main Villain's girlfriend in the movie.

That's the only reason why those two could read the book in the first place.


Still, for a popcorn postapocalyptic movie with religious undertones, it's not too shabby.

You want shit? You gotta actually pay to see "Old Dogs" or "Youth In Revolt."

I'm worried by the horrible reviews, but Denzel is one of my favorite actors and the preview is extremely intriguing to me. I'll be going with some friends this weekend probably.

Except that movie was the second remake of the original I Am Legend (the first movie was called "The Last Man on the Earth" and the second was called "The Omega Man"). If you wanted to know what it was about, a quick google or wiki search would yield results.
 
saw it yesterday. considering all of the comments i heard about it. i enjoyed the movie.
Gary Oldman wasnt that great. the action was good.
 
Went and saw it this weekend. Even though I'm not religious by any stretch of the imagination, I enjoyed the movie. It was entertaining, and the acting was superb.

We went and saw it last night. I thought it was a solid movie and the acting was great other than Mila Kunis, but she is hot so she gets a pass.
 
I watched the first half hour or so and I did not like what I had seen so far. Debatable as to whether or not I'll finish watching it.
