In it is a 1964 story written for Esquire about
Floyd Patterson, a man who at one time was champion until he was put down by the legendary Sonny Liston.
I personally found it interesting (and as you'll find in the comments at the bottom of the posting) that this is basically the most candid interview I've ever read or heard about from a sports figure... EVER.
Once more, that this is a man who acknowledges that he sees himself as a coward even though he's made TONS of money as a champion while his family lived comfortably and he himself was a good fighter to a point.
It's definitely worth a read if you want to see a brutally honest take about what it's like to live as the person who's lost and has to carry that baggage day-to-day.
