I think the middle-of-the-road teams in the PAC12 are terrible. ASU is overrated, as usual. I don't understand how anyone loses to UCLA...they got destroyed by a Texas team that has trouble scoring in double-digits, and their offense is inept. Cal has been a big disappointment. Utah was supposed to add toughness to the PAC10, but they have been no more than average.

Oregon, Stanford, and USC are all legit teams, after that its a huge dropoff. Due to the division format its gonna be a very shitty pac-12 title game, with the possibility of a very shitty Pac-12 winner if UCLA wins.

I have no problem with UCLA playing in the title game...I just lol @ the end result if UCLA or Utah somehow beats Oregon.

The best matchup would be an Oregon v. USC rematch, but USC is paying the price.

But, let's be honest...the difference between ASU, Utah, and UCLA is minimal...they all are very average at this point, 8-4/7-5 teams...the end result of the OP is the same.

However im confused, you made this thread and keep referring to the ncaa as the "cartel", but i dont see any suggestions from you on how to make things better.

Because not every thread about the NCAA or BCS needs to generate into some massive plan for a solution, you fuck face.

I've said for years...8 team playoff.

First Round of Games Played at Bowl Game Sites by conference/traditional affiliation, to maintain the "integrity" aka the "greed" of the Bowl Games.

Rose Bowl - Winner of Big 10 v. Winner of Pac 10
Fiesta Bowl - Winner of Big 12 v. Wild Card
Sugar Bowl - Winner of SEC v. Winner of Big East
Orange Bowl - Winner of ACC v. Wild Card

All of these Games take place on New Years Day.

I'd then allow the second round of games to take place at neutral sites the following week and finally the BCS championship game to rotate at the site of one of the Bowl sites (the week after)

That should take care of ALL participants...schools, greedy bowl fucks, the BCS, et al and still hold the integrity of a playoff.

USC is banned from the postseason, so you wanting them in the Pac-12 title game makes zero sense.

Conference champions are crowned in the exact way they are now. Division Winners play one another, or, if they don't have 12+ teams, traditional winners of the conference. All of these games are determined BY THE CONFERENCES THEMSELVES. Which is how it should be. Fuck governing bodies.

If the BCS Bowl "system" is the only way to determine a national champion, get rid of automatic bids. Pretty simple. And its something I suggested earlier in this thread, which you ignored. To compare it to basketball, it would be like having a system where the ACC winner automatically gets a #1 seed every year, even if a 19-12 Maryland ends up winning the ACC tournament. That idea would be shat upon to no end...yet its accepted in college football.
