Anyone playing this currently?

I picked it up for my ps4 last week but haven't really had any time to play it. Just wondering if anyone has made decent progress and has any tips.

I don't play a lot of driving/racing games. I'm so used to GTA that it's taken some getting used to.

I just finished a story playthrough yesterday for a review. Only tips I can really provide are do the challenges you come across as getting a medal in those will get your an upgrade for your car. Other than that, just enjoy the wide open world.
 
Me and my buddies are really enjoying this game. The biggest tip I have is to use Crew Credits to purchase Perk Points rather than cars.

Cash seems like its a premium but once you get further into the game its to easy to get cash, do one online race finish 4th and get 15k. And then faction missions, though take awhile net 25-30k at times.

I started with the Camaro, have a Camaro street and Camaro dirt. Silverado raid Aston Martin Vantage for my pref tuner and the Vette ZR1 for the Circuit car. Got like 600k in the bank so just deciding what car I want next to mess around in.

Once you reach level 50 driver level you unlock platinum parts, so any challenges you do you can get a random platinum part 40-50 if you reach the platinum score, so you can really jack your car up in its rating. From what I've heard 1299 is the highest car level achievable.
 
Picked it up yesterday at Best Buy in the B2G1 sale.

First time I ever had an issue ordering online and picking up in store with them. Ordered my 3 games, and then got an email a little later saying i couldn't pick up the Crew because it wasnt in stock. Get to the store to pick up my other games, and they had a bunch of the Crew sitting there. Showed them my email about it not being there, and they had no clue. So they had to cancel my whole order in order to add that game back and in the process, screw up my rewards certificates I used in the process. At least the manager was very helpful and applied discounts to get the price back down to what it should have been after the certificates.

I had an issue on Cyber Monday. I ordered several movies and tv seasons. One was back ordered and only available for shipping. The others were store pick up only. I picked my closest store for all of them. The next day I get two emails, one saying ONE was ready for pick up and the other saying thr remaining items were not available. I go into the store a few days later and they had ALL of the things I ordered. They had to cancel the original order and re-ring the items and of course thry were way more expensive. I laughed and said " Yeah, I'm not paying that. I'm paying the sale prices." It eventually got sorted out.
They said that BF and CM orders pummeled their servers and completely fucked their inventory system.
 
So, did anyone here start a "crew" that I can join? Isn't that how it works? I'm hoping to start this game up soon.
