I'm just happy to see the Nets are finally doing something with themselves. Keeping Gerald Wallace makes me extremely happy and is just the first step in establishing themselves. Dwight Howard’s days with the Orlando Magic are likely numbered. The Magic are actively shopping Howard and new general manager Rob Hennigan is prepared to trade the superstar center, according to sources close to the situation.

This is just the latest in a string of events that have caused many within the Magic organization to grow tired of Howard. Several of Howard’s teammates are hoping for his departure as well. Toward the end of last season, Howard came close to a physical altercation with teammate Jameer Nelson at the Magic’s practice facility. Howard was sidelined with a back injury at the time, but nearly came to blows with Nelson for unknown reasons, according to sources. The two players had to be separated.

Nobody in the Magic organization wants to go through another drama-filled year, which is why all signs point to Howard being traded sooner rather than later

This is why I'm beginning to call BS on this trade rumor. Why woud New Jersey do a trade like this when they already have Marshon Brooks who basically is a younger and a very talented SG? Why would they give up on Brooks to bring in an aging and overpaid role player? Why would they want Johnson over Howard? I really doesn't make sense...........what if Jersey is trying to drive down the asking price to get Howard by trying to show that they're about to move on? All of this followed by Howard saying he won't sign anywhere but in Jersey?

Yeah, and with Atlanta insisting on Brooks and the Nets insisting on not including him, who knows where this will end up.

The standard is the Miami Heat and everyone and their mother knows a combination of Williams, Johnson and Wallace isn't going to compete in the east with Miami. At best they'd probably be a 6-7 seed. They bring in Howard they're probably a 3-5 seed depending who they had to give up.
