Apparently, the 49ers are going to offer big time money to Harbaugh after the game tonight.

John Elway is also going to speak to Harbaugh after the game tonight to see if he has any interest in coming to Denver.

Michigan is also going to make a move for him.

And obviously, there is a small chance that Stanford somehow retains him.

Where will he go?

the real question isnt where will he end up, its when will he be forgotten? Dennis Erickson, Butch Davis, Steve Spurrier and a slew of others would like to know

agreed. why leave sunny california for Michigan so he can start the rebuilding process again. he has already started something at Stanford. Plus he is from that area so its like home to him. Thats the only reason i could see him going to SF since its in his home town area

Harbaugh is too much of a hothead to coach at Michigan or the NFL. He should stay at Stanford, where he has total control over the operation.

I bet he stays in Palo Alto one more year. Then, San Diego might come calling. He supposedly has a very strict criteria for what he is looking for in an NFL job. Since the Chargers are hanging onto Norvell again, I can see him waiting a year. He has a good thing going in Stanford, and Michigan wouldn't make much sense. His next move should be to the NFL.

I would love to get him to coach the Wolverines, I just think RichRod's replacement will come from somewhere else.

If you want a reason why Jim Harbaugh should leave Stanford, just look at the large amounts of college coaches who turned down big paydays to stay at their smaller schools and as such, have faded greatly.

George Schiano was regarded as one of the top coaches in football and turned down Miami to stay at Rutgers, now he is not even being mentioned for big college openings.

Jim Grobe was thought of as an innovator when leading Wake Forest to an ACC championship. Now he is back to mediocrity.

You get while the getting is good and quite frankly, Harbuagh might never get a second chance to get his pick of places in the football world.

Really? They averaged 82 percent attendance last season, so you might want to check your numbers.

He was probably basing it on the fact that Stanford took out over 35,000 seats that they could never fill in order to boost their attendence rates. They used to have 85,000 seats, now they only have 50,000 and averaged about 41,000 for last season (2009).

I can't see him going to Michigan. I personally like Stanford being good, even as an SC fan. It means when we lose to them I don't have to feel as bad. =P I think he'll go to Denver, for some reason. Though I do hope he fails there.

Denver might be a potential spot, San Francisco is the favorite, thus I don't see it happening. Another reason it won't happen at Michigan is the contract situation with him and how much they will owe RichRod.

I think Brady Hoke (IMO) is the guy I can see getting the job. Brandon played for Bo and has that "Michigan Man" mentality. He cares about winning and winning the right way. He is a very rational person and doesn't have the emotion Bo had (see the firing of Bill Frieder).

I personally would love Kyle Wittingham, but I don't see it happening.
