The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra

Another great one. Loved how Tarrlok(and his dad) was bossing everyone the entire episode, then Amon shows up and ends it in a couple of seconds. Faster then Aang could even do.
 
How I think this plays out:
Amon IS Yakone... at this point, there aren't many other people he can be. Paralleling the original series, Korra has to fix a mistake of Aang's. Remember, Roku blamed himself for the war and needed Aang to fix it. Aang inadvertently either taught Yakone how to spirit bend, or alerted him to its existence. Yakone somehow made his will stronger than everyone else's, and is now able to take bending away.

Korra is becoming more spiritual. They showed, in the preview, Korra about to lose her bending. This could be a dream sequence, but I doubt it. Right when she's about to lose... she enters the Avatar State for the first time and wins.

One thing that makes me doubt this is that they added a second season, likely called Spirit. What if Korra DOES lose her bending, and they figure out she needs to attain the Avatar State to get it back?
 
My theory so far:
 

Amon contacted Koh (the facestealer), and traded his face away to be able to take away bending. Amon was so dedicated to this goal that he traded his face away, would also explain since Koh hates bending and would love to see the equalists rid bending forever.
 
That Amon is a bad man. I think Pills has the right idea. She will enter the Avatar State for the 1st time at that moment. Anyone else a little disappointed that she hasn't been able to do a lick of airbending yet?
 
Tenzin airbending and the brief look at a 40 year-old Aang have been the highlights of the season for me thus far. Also the yin and yang style of these two series is pretty damn dedicated, seeing how Korra STILL hasn't entered the Avatar State, let alone airbending. :smh:

In the first series (season one) Aang takes the form of Roku when he comes out of the Fire Temple and uses firebending to fend off the Sages. I'm assuming/hoping that Korra does the same thing at some point in this series and an older version of Aang shows up and does some kickass airbending. :yep:

ummmmmm Aang is dead. Can't have a new Avatar until the old one is dead.
 
No filler episodes this series means that every episode pushes the story ahead. With that I don't mind that hardly any focus has been on training. Plus like Pills said, looks like she has some important spiritual/avatar stuff coming up soon.

In the first series in season 1 Aang takes the form of Roku (the Avatar before him) multiple times and he uses firebending, this was before Aang knew firebending himself, but he was in the spirit world and Roku told him that there were Fire Sages waiting for him outside and he could help him fend them off and escape after exiting the temple.

He was also Kyoshi on one occasion - during that trial (bad episode, but that was a good part).

I re-watched the preview for the finale after I posted. There's one spot where Amon has his thumb on Korra's forehead and she has her eyes shut tight - THAT's the moment she opens them and they're glowing.

I would say he named his oldest son after his uncle. It was obviously Zuko's voice actor and I got a bit excited.

But Aang was younger than Zuko and his youngest son is Tenzin, who seems much older than new Iroh... :dunno:

Regardless, I was instantly in :fap: mode when I heard him talk.

This means we get to find out what happened with Zuko's search for his mom. Which was a very subtle "cliff hanger" last series.
 
Also, spirit bending is supposed to be executed perfectly or it fucks up the user. If Korra blocks Amon's attempt, he could be in for a world of trouble.
