Is anyone else excited about this? It wasn't even on my radar until I saw a trailer for the movie and realized that the characters were voiced by Hollywood actors. Chris Pratt is hilarious. I assumed it was just a kids movie that would be straight to DVD.

I plan on seeing the movie this weekend (hopefully in 3D) and I'm picking up the game today. The wife and I love the LEGO games and have been deep in LEGO Marvel the past few weeks so I'm hoping this will be another homerun.
 
its funny that you like legos and probably played with legos as a kid because you dislike or have not tried minecraft. i was the same way and you are probably better off not playing minecraft because it will suck you life away. But that game is the video game version of playing legos.

Having seen some footage through YouTube...

 

...I can say that it spoils the movie and leaves the player to fill-in-the-blanks between scenes as far as fighting enemies, building structures and collecting stuff.

Visually, it plays like a LEGO Game with a better cast of voice over.

Any impressions? I think only a handful of us have the game and I know Handle and I haven't had a chance to play it yet. I'm trying to 100% LEGO Marvel before starting this one up.

The movie was great though. I saw it in 3D on Saturday.
 
Dammit, now that I've seen the movie I really want the game. For those who've played it, any differences from other games? Better or worse than others?
