I'm going to post this again in the thread I wanted to initially but for some reason I couldn't locate via search before.

NES Remix:

It looks like a lot of fun for oldies like myself. It released on the eShop this past Wednesday I believe.

I would also like to add that Mario 3D World is awesome. The new cat suit is great. I'm surprised how well they pulled off the co-op in a 3D space.

I finally added my $50 card that I bought last week and downloaded NES Remix and Mutant Mudds. Remix was $15 which I felt was $5 more than expected but it's a lot of fun. Mudds was on sale for only $5 and it was some pretty good reviews. It looks like a really cool old school style platformer.

To the people that own this console do you feel it's worth the price. Are there a lot of good games out? Considering getting one because my wife would enjoy this as much as I would for the Mario games but not sure I'd use it for much more then the Mario's and Zelda's

What else does anyone use a Nintendo console for?

I'm not sure if they're still on sale but I think Gamestop had the deluxe console with Nintendoland for $250.

That's the bundle I got and love it. You can't go wrong with Mario. Mario U, Luigi U and the new Mario 3D World are excellent games and you'll have a blast playing co-op with the wife. My wife and I have. We 100%'d Mario and Luigi U (minus the Star Roads) and we're halfway through 3D World.
Plus I was able to pick up ZombieU on the cheap. Looking forward to trying it out.

I picked up the Wii U Wind Waker bundle for my kid for Christmas(we bought it the week before the Mario/Luigi U bundle was released). We picked up 3D World, Infinity, and Lego Marvel. Wish we would have went with Lego Marvel for the PS4 because the controls aren't fluid and gives my kid bad control directions because he has to use the wii remote and nun chuck. It was meant to be replace the Wii for my kid but instead he has been buried in his 3DS and my wife and I have kinda taken it over playing Wind Waker and 3D World. So far I am a bit surprised, I have a bigger wishlist of games I want to play on Wii U at the moment than I do on PS4(though I imagine that will change by spring.)

New Sonic Game for Wii U, Xbox One, and PS4

A new Sonic game is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U in 2015, if this promotional sign is correct.The sign was on display at a toy fair in Nuremberg, Germany last week, where toy maker Jazwares was showcasing a line of Sonic toys. The sign was first posted to German website Spindash.de.

In addition to the 2015 Sonic game, the sign lists the recently released Sonic: Lost World for Wii U and 3DS andMario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games: Sochi 2014 for the Wii U. It's also accurate in its description of the upcoming Sonic animated show, Sonic Boom.

Last year Nintendo announced it had entered a partnership with Sega to publish three Sonic games on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, with the first two being Sonic: Lost World and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games: Sochi 2014. The third game has yet to be announced.

Last week, we reported that Warner Bros. pulled the plug on its DLC for Batman: Arkham Origins on the Wii U, prompting Nintendo to refund consumers who bought the game's season pass.

My WiiU prompted me to to download a system update today. Looks like it had been a couple of weeks since I booted it up-

Wii U System Update 4.1.0 Available Now

Nintendo does occasionally have humorous timing, releasing a new system update for the Wii U on 1st April. It's real though, we can assure you of that, and is a relatively small download that should download and install within five minutes on a solid connection.

As always the Nintendo support website provides a changelog, with this one merely specifying more stability.and adjustments.

-Improvements to system stability and usability:
-Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.

Just how stable can the Wii U get? It's a question for the ages, though jesting aside it's pleasing to see Nintendo keeping active with maintenance on the system. Considering its April Fools' arrival we haven't seen any hidden jokes or gags related to this update, so you can download with comfort.

It's available in North America, Europe and Australia right now, so grab it while it's hot.

Could be, I noticed the white light and just figured it had always been that color even though I thought it looked different. Cool feature if that is what it meant.

Don't know if there is a Super Mario 3D World thread, but I'm guessing that there is not. My girlfriend and I dug deep into that amazing game this weekend. We don't do co-op (it's definitely better than previous Mario co-op, but I still feel like it just encourages murder just the same, particularly when trying to collect shit), we just take turns, and she tapped out in Star World. Since then, I have finished half of the special, post-Star world, and up to now, have all of the flagpoles and all of the stamps. I don't know if my endurance can hold to get all of the green stars and unlock whatever the final (I'm assuming?) thing is, but we'll see.

Just absolutely love the game though. Brimming with imagination and the music is incredible.
