I would agree but cloud and squall fanboys always ruin it. Most likely here you can get a variety of people's opinions and favorite characters. Sure there are always the obvious big names like kratos mario and master chief but getting smaller characters in the mix is always fun and makes for a good debate if an upset rolls around.

lol I was about to say, we ripping off GFAQ's shit now? Although I do have to admit, alot of fanboys on that site that always ruin the polls. So maybe a VSN Character tourney would be interesting. As long as Cloud doesn't win we're good.

Actually this is the 2nd tourny.

The first one came down between Mario Vs. Sub-Zero

Link got knocked out by Solid Snake last year.
Cloud got knocked out (round 1 lol) by Jin Kazama
Sephiroth made it to the final 4, but was knocked out by Sub-Zero
Sora got knocked out (round 1 lol) by Sub-Zero

So only Sephiroth made it to the final 4 last year.

Kingdom Hearts series is the best series to come out of Square Enix post-merger. The Final Fantasy series dropped in quality after the merge. Hopefully FF XIII is a step forward for the series, Sora is awesome and the keyblade is an awesome weapon. It is just as iconic as Cloud's Buster Sword, or Squall's gunblade

Im not going to spoil anything for those who havent played FF VII and VIII, but if you have you would probably get what im saying. Although i am a sephiroth fanboy and i say that proudly I doubt he will take it this year.
