Bradford didn't do terrible. I love how well Peerman has played for you despite not being one of those big name players. It's good to see.

Peerman has a great mix of speed and strength. I think he was an absolute steal for about a million dollars a year, I hope he can keep progressing and I can keep this thread headed monster together.

NFC West Season Preview

With the 2011 season just days in front of us, the NFC West still looks to be very cluttered. You have the incumbent winners, the St. Louis Rams who came out of nowhere last year to reach the playoffs. The Arizona Cardinals still boast a high powered offense, but have they passed their prime? The 49ers are still without a QB, but do have a stout defense. The Seahawks are the up and comers, overhauling the roster and trotting out one of the best front sevens in the league. The NFC West was paired up with the AFC North and the NFC East. Here goes the predictions.

1. St. Louis Rams, Projected Record: 9-7

The Rams continue to improve on both sides of the ball with Ndamukong Suh already one of the best DT's in the league. With Laurinitis, Bartell, and Atogwe also on the defense they have a lot of playmakers. Likewise on offense the O-Line saw solid improvements and they still have All-Pro Stephen Jackson. But the depth is not as strong as it probably could be, and they face a tough schedule as does the rest of the NFC West. I could see St. Louis finishing as high as 11-5 but as low as 6-10. It's a real toss up here, and without having a solid QB it makes it hard to have them go any higher than 9-7.

2. Arizona Cardinals, Projected Record: 8-8

The Cardinals have the talent to make a run, but a very shaky offensive line holds them back. Beanie Wells is slowly becoming the focus of the offense as Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, and Steve Breaston are all 29 years or older. Kurt Warner is still trucking at 40, but I have serious doubts about Arizona's ability to contend. Defense is more of the same, talent at some positions but empy at others and they face the age problem. The Cardinals have a relatively weak front seven, which may hurt against strong running teams such as the Ravens or the Rams.

3. Seattle Seahawks, Projected Record: 8-8

Now this may be a bit of a reach, but I feel this is the year the team takes the next step and also has an outside shot at the playoffs. With Sam Bradford at QB there may be a first year learning curve which is why I am still tentative with putting this team too high on a pedestal. Cedric Peerman is coming off a 1,000 yard season and now has help with C.J Spiller and the addition of Jacquizz Rodgers. Losing T.J Houshmanzadeh won't hurt as much as some may think. In an offense that relies more on short patters Housh wasn't utilized as well as he should have or could have been. On defense Terrence Cody will hunker down in the middle, making it almost impossible to run the ball on this defense. Joe Haden will have to step up along with Dwight Lowery in the passing game if they want to be totally successful on defense.

4. San Francisco 49ers, Projected Record: 6-10

As much as San Francisco may improve around the QB position, this team will never take the proper steps to becoming a playoff contender until they find the future. After letting go of Alex Smith they signed Josh Johnson. The swap from Smith to Johnson will most likely just result in more headaches for Niner fans. The defense is lead by Patrick Willis and Derrick Morgan has made strides as a pass rusher off the edge. Offensively the duo of Frank Gore and Glen Coffee is effective, but teams will easily put 8 in the box to defend it without a serious threat of a passing game. ​

The 2011 season is upon us and Seattle fans are anxious to see what this years team has to offer. Will it be another disappointing losing season, or will the Seahawks be in position to guarantee victory at a coin toss?
Philadelphia Players to Watch
Philadelphia comes in with a potent offensive machine. Donovan McNabb still has a job in Philly and is now accompanied in the backfield by Lesean Mccoy. On the outside Desean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, and Jordan Shipley look to make plays. Philly does not have the stout defense too compare to the offense. The only threats come in the form of Trent Cole and Asante Samuel. Both will have to make a lot of plays to contain the Seattle offense.

Seattle Seahawks Players to Watch
This game starts off the tough opening to the Seattle schedule where Sam Bradford will be tested early and often. As a rookie, it won't come easy so don't expect Bradford to do it all. The offense will rely on the three headed trio of Cedric Peerman, C.J Spiller, and Quizz Rodgers to get them by. The defensive secondary will be pushed to it's limits, so it will be interesting to see how Joe Haden and Dwight Lowery respond in their first games with Seattle.

Defense Pitches Shutout, Upsets Eagles

Seattle Coming into this game, many saw the Eagles offense to be far too overpowering for the Seahawks, who would not be able to keep up with a rookie QB. Although the Seahawks struggled at times to put maintain any kind of consistency on offense, they were able to put points on the board when it mattered. Neither defense budged in the first half, bringing halftime to a 0-0 tie. In the third quarter, Sam Bradford led the offense on a drive that took up 7 minutes before capping it off with a 5 yard TD pass to Deon Butler. Olindo Mare nailed two field goals in the fourth quarter, and the Eagles were not able to get anything going on offense.

After an impressive win over the Eagles, the Seahawks travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys. The Seahawks always play Dallas tough and hope this game is not like any of the others. Both teams are 1-0.
Dallas Players to Watch
The Cowboys go into this matchup already down two crucial starters on both sides of the ball. Bradie James is out with a toe injury and Leonard Davis is out with a fractured jaw. But this team still has Tony Romo at QB and a potent running attack with both Marion Barber and Felix Jones. Demarcus Ware will give Walter Jones all he can handle coming off the outside, and a rookie QB facing a tough pass rush is playing with fire.

Seattle Seahawks Players to Watch
Sam Bradford will have to make less mistakes and more plays if the Seahawks want to win this week in Dallas. It will be a tough environment making his first road start in front of one of the most boisterous fan bases in all of football. The WR's will need to do their best to get open which won't be easy facing Mike Jenkins and Terrence Newman. Bradford will have to exploit mismatches at the line of scrimmage in order to make things easier on offense. On defense it will be all up to Lofa Tatupu to chase down everything, keeping all plays in front of him.

Peerman Rushes for Almost 200, Defense Looks Strong

Seattle 2-0? If you were to be told before the season started that the Seattle Seahawks would take the NFC West by storm and take down the two NFC East Giants, would you believe? Well, it's best you start believing in this young Seattle team who brings the old fashioned smash mouth football style to each contest. Cedric Peerman "smashed" his way into the endzone in the first quarter, going the 2 yards for a score. Olindo Mare added a 49 yarder in the second quarter to go up 10-0. Just when you thought the Seahawks were playing out of their minds, they mounted one more impressive drive in the first half taking it the length of the field before Sam Bradford hit John Carlson for a 7 yard score. A Miles Austin TD with 22 seconds before the half made it 17-7 at halftime.

Olindo Mare was the only score in the third quarter, this time nailing a 35 yard field goal. Malcom Floyd caught a beautiful 29 yard TD pass to answer in the 4th quarter, going right over the middle in between two defenders to make the grab and scoot into the end zone. Another Olindo Mare field goal late made it a two score game, and Dallas was left with far too little time to make a relevant comeback.
