Well, two of them sure as hell didn't waste any time telling us we'd be getting a different/much better game this year. It's a slightly better game with a shit load of flaws, and still broken AI. I don't see how playing with broken AI is much better than playing with broken AI in previous maddens.. What? Because we get hand towels?

The CPU run game or lack of, IS separate from sliders, it's the game itself.

As for adaptive ai - It was a feature that Ian was pitching all over the place to get a lot of us interested... So, if it doesn't exist, then we have an even bigger issue. If it does exist, it needs to be patched, because it's not working at all.

4. I've been messing with the sliders and they do work. I've gone from insanely easy to ridiculously difficult. I'm still testing it out, but I've almost got it to where it's both challenging and fun to play for me.

5. IMO, if you can't find something in this game that appeals enough to you to at least find some level of enjoyment, than you are just not fans of the madden series period. I understand getting frustrated from the lack of innovation from the developers on the next gen console. The game should have been at this stage 2 years ago.

6. If I hear one more thing about a halftime show, I'm gonna puke. Yes, it would be nice to have. But honestly, I don't think anyone goes more than seeing it a few times before they just click through it anyway.

IMO people that say this game sucks are nitpicking and going into it looking for flaws. Are their flaws? Yes. But that comes with every game.

Until online franchise is up to par with what offline franchise has, then I'm not going to play against other people. I dont want to play Madden just to play a single ranked/unranked game. I want to play against challenging opponents in a season type fashion. Trying to win a championship, drafting potential NFL players, trading, signing free agents, signing different coaches, etc...


Reasons I'm having a hard time playing this game:
-Blocking (pass & run)
-CPU play selection(passing way too much)
-Pass Coverage(man coverage in particular)
-User catching/DB & LB catching ability>WR ability

Nitpicking is what makes better games. Saying this is the best game on next gen is stupid. I'm tired of hearing it. Its not hard to be better than garbage.

After getting some info from Adem, it's nice knowing at least they will be aware of the major issues that really hurt the game this year. Whether or not they put as much effort into fixing them, as Adem did with his research, is still a question mark.

There's about five things, to me, that if they patch, would make the game worth buying. But yeah, they seriously need to start focusing on the gameplay/AI. We've been waiting how many years?

I wouldn't mind more effective sliders either.. I'm sitting here playing with my run D and pass reaction D set at 0 across the board, and I'm not seeing much difference. I honestly don't even know if half the sliders are even working.

Your missing the big picture. The video kind of fits in with a bunch of other videos. After a while you see that the AI gets you stuck in animations and as a result players will make bad plays and theres nothing you can do about it.


But what did he do wrong. He switched to the safety who for some reson spins a circle, and when he hitsticks hte guy he just slides off him.

And its not nitpicking it happens way too often

There are losers all over the place sitting in the same room they occupied in the sixth fucking grade posting youtube videos about wacky shit they come across while playing the game. The only thing that is more pathetic than making these videos is actually seeking them out and watching them.

there is nitpicking and then complaining about real gameplay flaws. you only play madden because its all u got. imagine if there were as many nfl games as shooters. Would you choose the game with broken hit detection, broken targeting system, flawed controls and filled with bugs and AI glitches over a game thats nearly perfect....like COD4?

no, u would choose COD 4. the only reason u dont read people complaining about shitty shooters is because there are more then enough of them around to make you forget the shit games. With madden, its not like that. You have no choice but to find something to enjoy to force yourself into thinking its worth the 60 bucks u spent.

We don't polish any knobs and bow our heads to guys who develop games. They do a great job and it's hard work but that doesn't mean we need to act like they are the Jonas Brothers.

It wouldn't matter if somebody was trying to bring the lulz, or if they were the most upstanding citizen on earth. As long as OS has more traffic, that is all the company is concerned with. Which from a business stand point, makes 100% sense. Just like buying an exclusive license. I don't hold it against them because it's smart.

Ian Cummings and RAC have both spent a decent amount of time around VSN. They don't have thousands of posts and their own user group here ,like at OS and Pasta's site, but they still have been around.

If you think the only reason we are running VSN is to get madden devs to post on our site, then you're the one that is :stupid:

I understand that it's not the best game and I agree nitpicking makes it better but to do it to the point where you can't enjoy the game just seems silly to me. Take it for what it is which is a video game. They'll never get it perfect but at least this year was a step up IMO.

I still enjoy the game to a certain degree. I just get agitated by the same problems that I've discovered reoccurring time and time again. That makes it hard to keep playing. Past few days I get like 1 game in. Instead of 4 or 5 like I'd like to.
