short ass game. Glad I rented. Online any good? Might give it another rent if so. Rented Dragon Age 2 and got caught up in that so didn't really play this to much

I love the multiplayer and I'm not even a multiplayer guy.

same here. i didnt mind having my ass handed to me over and over. it was really fun. and with me renting, i could only advance to level 5.

it was very short, but on normal i kept getting killed. it was frustrating at times. i think there is dlc coming, with sp and mp.

I know it has the name going for it but lets not forget that MW2 had a 4 hour campaign (closer to 3 for most).

That's the weird thing. I usually suck online but I'm decent at this game. My K/D is close to 1/1 and I'm usually near the top of the scoreboard in points at the end of a match. I prefer Ground War by the way and I still haven't even tried the last two modes which I think unlocked at level 10 or so.

I went ahead and got this off Craigslist via trade (I gave up ODST, which I haven't played in over a year, so regardless of how I ultimately feel about this game I feel I won out on the trade, LOL), unused code so I've been playing online. At times I'm enjoying it but too often I'm reminded why I for the most part hate vehicles in my FPS games. I do like flying the drone thing and marking up guys though.

Probably more fun if I had teammates that actually played objectives and not for kills. Pisses me off when I'm the only one on a control point and at the last second someone kills me and it's all for nothing because nobody came to help out.

Wow, I can't believe someone traded Homefront straight up for ODST. What an idiot.

I've never really noticed that. Crysis 2 is another stroy though. A lot of those dicks seem like they only care about kills and never try to capture objectives.

Guess what dick bag, I could rack up a ton of kills too if I just waited for people to take an objective and then took them all out by sniping

I gave him a list to pick from that included Reach and other newer games but he wanted ODST. No idea why. I was too happy to take his Homefront. lol.

I like the version of Ground Control you unlock at level 7 more than the regular version. There's a million drones in the air because everyone wants that 75 point achievement, which means people are near always marked, so it's a bit easier for a noob like myself. Also more fun with the priority targets.

The online is a blast. The single player was ridiculously short.

I still have not been able to get into online that much. I keep going back to Black Ops.

I really just think that vehicle based online play is not my thing. I'm not too fond of Battlefield these days & the only COD game I've hated online was W@W...which, yep, had vehicle play on some maps.

Just finished the game- I picked it up from best buy.com on Black Friday for $8. I have to say, I would have been disappointed if I bought this at $60. The single player is pretty damn short, and it ends abruptly. Sniping is pretty good though, but this ended up being an FPS clone for everything except the invasion storyline.

I'll just try the online for a few matches tomorrow at some point and see what happens. Judging from the single player, I am not anticipating much more than cookie cutter online.

Also heard that a sequel is in development. Kaos Studios closed down in June, but Crytek's Nottingham UK studio is doing the second with CryEngine. That will definitely be a game to keep an eye out for.

The multiplayer was actually really solid when I played it.

I would say it's much better than that POS CoD but nowhere near as good as Bf.

I would agree. It had the vehicles and a lot more of a team aspect. It actually reminded me a lot of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat.
