Tim Tebow traded to Jets...Official (After Reading Contracts)

W2B will point to TOP and turnovers as the reasons to why the Broncos defense played better with Tebow but the fact of the matter is that their TOP and turnover ratio was never good all season. They were also in the bottom 10 in first downs.

I do want to see a breakdown of TOP, 1st downs, yardage, etc. of pre-Tebow compared and Tebow Time, though. I'll let W2B do that though since he is the one advocating that argument.

Well, the Broncos D did play well and TOP and TOR certainly helped their numbers out.

I did some research for another forum and the Broncos run game attempts, total yardage, and YPC grew exponentially under Tebow (obvious conclusion). The pass attempts and yardage went down, but did grow with each week under Tebow. Tebow didn't turn the ball over with any regularity.

Those are obviously two reasons why the team's TOR would look better and why the Broncos TOP would be better.

Its really common sense and I don't need to re-seek out the numbers to know that.

It's amazing to me how people completely disregard the Broncos defense's role in all those "miraculous" wins.

The Broncos improved defensive play was directly tied to the switch to the spread option and the insertion of Tebow.

It was a combination of removing turnover machine Orton from the lineup, and switching to a low turnover, ball control offense.

The Broncos defensive improvements correlated exactly with the insertion of Tebow and the offensive philosophy switch. The Broncos TOP, rushing attempts, rushing yards, first downs, and especially turnovers, all of it improved with Tebow.

The problem for the Jets, is at the first sign of bad play out of Sanchez, there will be incredible pressure from the fanbase to play Tebow because of what he did for Denver. Especially if Tebow is electric and makes plays when he does get a chance to play. This is why Tebow is better suited to a team with a stable QB position. The Jets were already a zoo. This is only going to make things worse.

It only hinders Sanchez's progression and adds more shit to his plate (that's already full considering his poor play last year, the disgruntled locker room, his awful relationship with his #1 receiver, poor OL play).

For Tebow, is he going to be satisfied being a bit player in the offense? If so, at least he can try to quell the media firestorm that will erupt whenever he makes a play.
