New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady should be dropping back to pass on his surgically rebuilt left knee. Terrell Owens will be running routes in a Buffalo Bills uniform for the first time.

The Bills quickly will find out whether they're ready to compete in the AFC East. They are coming off three straight 7-9 seasons, but have shown desperation in signing Owens.

Fans don't have to hail from Patriot Nation to be interested in how Brady will look in his first action since crumpling to the Gillette Stadium turf on Opening Day one year earlier.

"As we know, our division's awfully tough," Bills coach Dick Jauron said. "The Patriots up until last year just ruled the division. We're chasing them and everybody else. We're trying to get better. We know how talented they are. We know how good they are. It'll be a great challenge for us, a great way to start the season."

The last time the Bills won in Foxborough was in 2000. Tonight may be no different.

If I were you I'd definitely sign another backup QB. I was playing the Bills online and this dude was tearing me apart with Edwards, then he got hurt and he put in the backup and I picked him off 3 times in less then 7 minutes.

Until I find a decent slider set or something, this is put on hold. Just really not happy with the way the game is playing. Both teams just fly up and down hte field back and forth and it's fun if I was playing against another person but for a franchise, not so much.

When it happened in the 1st game against the Bears, I figured it was just the Bears. But the same thing happened with the Packers and now the Patriots. Not to mention, the CPU opts to pass at least 85% of the time, which is pretty rediculous.

I think I'll stick to my NBA/side-MLB niche for chising and keep Madden for Online Franchise play only. lol.

We'll see what happens.

Rookie Tight End Making His Presence Felt Early

The Buffalo Bills came into this season hoping rookie tight end Shawn Nelson will be playing a role in a revamped passing attack, which also features superstar Terrell Owens.

Though few fourth-round draft picks are counted upon to make big impacts during their rookie seasons, the Bills have made an exception for Nelson and he did not disappoint in the Bills season opening upset win over the Patriots in Foxboro.

Nelson caught 4 passes for 68 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Bills' win, including a 54 yard touchdown pass.

"They blitzed hard on the play. Trent had to get it off fast. I caught it at about midfield and just booked it towards the end zone," explained Nelson. "I'm just glad I caught the ball."

At 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds, Nelson is regarded as a player who has the size, speed and pass-catching ability to fill an immediate hole after the Bills released veteran starter Robert Royal in February.

Nelson was a four-year starter in college at Southern Miss, where he averaged 500 yards receiving a season and scored 16 career touchdowns.

hahaha. It was the first game we played against one another that we both didn't score over 40 points with both teams going ape shit on offense. I won most of those as well but was still feeling out the game and tweaking shit. I think I may have found a setup I like. Don't worry, if I start winning games easily, I'll make it harder.

I got super lucky though. lol. Take away those 2 long touchdown passes and Brady going down in the 4th, might've been a different result.

Not A Peep Out Of Owens Coming Into Week 2

Terrell Owens. Randy Moss.

The debate of which of these two elite receivers are the best in the league will continue but it was clear who dominated in the Bills' week 1 victory against the Patriots.

Surprisingly enough though, when swarmed by post game reporters Owens was unusually humble and soft spoken. Owens, humble and soft spoken? No way.

Let's take you back 2 seasons ago. At the time, the 5-0 Cowboys were set to take on the 5-0 Patriots. The hype in the air surrounding the matchup was palpable. Instead of talking to reporters, Owens left a note.

“Dear Reporters,

“Due to the magnitude of this week’s game and high volume of questions for the Original 81 about the other 81. I will be taking all questions immediately following Sunday’s game.

“Sincerely, (followed by Owens’ signature)

“p.s. Getcha Popcorn Ready.”

Moss had the better game that time around as the Patriots defeated the Cowboys 48-27 at Texas Stadium on their way to a perfect regular season.

Owens came back this time around with something to prove though, catching 5 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown. Including an 84 yard touchdown pass in the 3rd quarter that was an obvious deflating blow to the Patriots.

"This team made some eyes open last year", explained Owens to reporters after the win. "So if I can be that extra added piece, you know, to the puzzle to get them to the playoffs and make something happen, then that's what I'm here for."
