By far the best game shown for next-gen so far. Not even close.

This game did nothing for me. Oh, another shooter? How original. What, you can get into a mech? OMGZ! That's never been done before either.

In all honesty this game reminds me of Killzone, and the new Killzone doesn't have me excited either.

But hey, color me surprised that you think an Xbox exclusive is the greatest next gen game already. I never saw that coming. Let me guess, you love CoD too?

Not me. I'm really not overly impressed with any of the next gen games that have been shown and announced. But the hype surrounding this one is some of the most baffling. I'm guessing because so many CoD fanboys still suck Respawn's dick.

Honestly, what is it about the game that looks so amazing? It's another shooter.

MS nut huggers that will both be getting a PS4. Cool. I don't think either of us has said a negative thing about either console in either thread. I know I havent and Im pretty sure Atlas hasn't either.

Lol at Killzone not being terrible but CoD is btw....so laughable. Sorry we like the most popular franchise in gaming today, just like most FPS gamers. I'm apologize for everyone being so stupid in your mind.

But you don't have to buy Titanfall, that's the great thing. You can spend $60 on some game you'll beat in 17 hours against a computer. Atlas and I can split this game for $30/person and put 400 hours into it combined. It's all about our own choices, and in this case, with all the buzz surrounding it and seeing as it was the most popular e3 exhibit, we happen to be with the majority.

Titanfall offers a “new skill to master”

Respawn Entertainment’s new game is, of course, a shooter – but a shooter with a twist, and on the Titanfall team hopes will challenge even expert players.

Speaking to Joystiq, lead designer Fairfax “Mackey” McCandlish said when Respawn first formed -before it even had computers – the team sat around with a white board and brainstormed the kind of game it would like to make.

It was a shooter, of course, but a shooter with some new abilities, specifically wall-running and double-jumps.

“We started to imagine what it would be like to play an existing map if you had these crazy capabilities,” he said.

“It’s all about finding something new and interesting, like a new skill to master. We’re all really good at aiming and shooting now; it’s nice to get a reward for manoeuvrability and outthinking the opponent, thinking one step ahead.

“It’s really bringing a lot of that shooter experience and inventiveness and taking every game we’ve ever loved and making it into one.”
