The new Frontier's Edge DLC for Titanfall was released today-

TITANFALL: FRONTIER’S EDGE

Today, we would like to announce Frontier’s Edge, the second DLC pack for Titanfall. Pushing the battle to the furthest reaches of the universe, Titanfall Frontier’s Edge introduces three exciting new maps including the isolated mining outpost of Dig Site, the exclusive beach resort of Haven and the mining hub on the side of a mountain known as Export.

Titanfall Frontier’s Edge is the second of three planned content packs with each pack available for $9.99. Gamers who are looking for the ultimate value can purchase the Titanfall Season Pass*, which offers all three content packs for a one-time purchase of $24.99 as soon as they become available. The Titanfall Season Pass can be purchased for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and on Origin for PC.

Set in the near future on a distant frontier torn apart by war, Titanfall drops players in the middle of a conflict between the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the Militia. The action is rapid and varied – featuring parkour-style wall running, massive double jumps and the ability to hijack titans. The freedom to shift back and forth between pilot and titan allows players to change tactics on the fly, attacking or escaping depending on the situation and extending the action vertically to new heights.

From what I understand the servers for this game are mostly a ghost town at this point. Apparently the few people that are still playing only play one mode, Attrition I think it's called? I still haven't tried it.

I have the game. I've only done the tutorial. I got it several months ago.

This game was really hyped up but I just never seen enough that I liked to even try it. Looked way too similar to Call of Duty (minus the robots), and I've been burned out on that series.

I thought the same, I almost bought it a week ago but decided against it. If the servers really are dead, then there isn't really a reason for me to be playing.

it was decent for about 1 month when it 1st came out.......

traded it in 2 weeks ago.

Well, no one has posted in this thread in over three weeks. Searches around the interwebs seem to show that the servers for this game are damn near dead. This sucks considering I still haven't really played it. Apparently BB is offering $25 trade in.
Remember when this was the greatest game ever made and won nearly every award at E3 2013? :yao:

What mode are you playing? All the posts/threadsand articles I've read said it's still fairly easy to find games in one of them. Is Attrition a mode?

If that's the truth it really is too bad. I still really like this game but that explains why XBL has it available for $25 download right now.

For $25 I might get it now, though it may continue to go down. It will be interesting to see how the fall and Christmas does with activity, not just for Titanfall but other games. I expect a lot more people to get the XB1 and include Titanfall in the games they get, so we could see more players joining up. How long they stay remains to be seen.

Its the only game I miss since getting rid of my XB1. I played the hell out of attrition. Was the one shooter I was actually good at. The competitive balance in that game was terrific. You didnt have to be a day one guy to compete with the best guys. Glad the game is going multi platform for the future titles.

Same here except I still play it. Great breath of fresh air after playing battlefield and cod every year.

I still like Titanfall but my summer has been so busy with work, E3, vacation and dealing with family situations that my gaming time has been almost non existent.

I don't understand why this game falling off would even be a surprise, or why it would require snark. Of course the excitement was huge for it: it looked awesome and it was one of the few things that looked awesome on the new consoles. I also don't understand how "lol all those E3 awards amirite!?" is some sort of a dig. Every year games win a shit ton of E3 awards and end up not living up to the hype.

I'd say that for something brand new on a new console, this game has had a great amount of staying power. Has it lived up to the insane hype? No. But nothing ever does now.
