TO meeting with Rams

If you ask me, he still has 2 years left in the tank considering his work ethic and practice habits. He could spend that time building up his hall of fame career and mentoring the young rams receiving core which has alot of potential. his impact should be similar to what holts was on the arrival of mike walker.

TO is the absolute LAST player, ever, i'd want mentoring young players. Comparing him to a classy, selfless, true pro like Torry Holt is beyond ridiculous, and highly insulting to Holt.

Speaking of which, if Spagnuolo wanted a veteran mentor to tudor young WR's, he shouldnt have run off Holt last year.

Avery is already on the map, you have laurent robinson who once shined as a falcon, brandon gibson who made noise during eagles training camp and was touted as special by just about everyone who saw him at work, amendula who can work the slot, kennen burton who i always liked since coming out of kentucky, and a poor mans desean jackson in Marty Gilyard.

I'm well aware of who the Rams have at WR, and yes, they are young & pretty good. Which is exactly why bringing in a 36 year old team killer, who is clearly on the decline, makes no sense. It eats a roster spot, and takes snaps from younger, fresher legs.

I never was a full believer in t.o being a teamwrecker thing.

He accused Romo of drawing up plays in the sand for Witten, and cried about not getting enough balls. Two seasons ago. After he left Philly.

His locker room actions should no longer be in question, and the least he can do is teach some veteran savvy to one of the few bright spots of the rams roster.

So one year of finally keeping his mouth shut, and an entire career of running himself out of every lockeroom he's ever been in, and throwing just abot every QB he ever played with under the bus, should be forgotten? GTFO. The guy is a mental case.

Pretty much. I don't think that Owens is washed up and could still be productive, but allowing him to even come close to a rookie QB that is supposed to be your franchise guy is a bad investment. His history with QBs is too strong to ignore.

I don't see it happening. Why would T.O. come to a team that has a rookie QB and virtually no chance of winning a Super Bowl? I could probably stomach the move if T.O. is signed for one year at less than what he was making last year, but that's probably unlikely. I can't stand T.O., however, I'll admit, it would at least make the Rams some what interesting.

Marvin Lewis has had something like two winning seasons and two playoff appearances in 7 or 8 seasonss. The biggest mystery in the NFL is how he's managed to keep his job all these years with what amounts to zero success.

TO is a perfect fit for that dysfunctional, out of control orginization.

Edit-I looked it up, Lewis has two winning seasons and zero playoff wins in seven seasons., and that team constantly underachieves. To me, its in large part due to the garbage in the lockeroom they always seem to have. He's an awful coach regardless.
