I think I'd put Carmelo ahead of Granger. He's a better scorer, and with the way he showed he could play defense in the playoffs, I'd say he's a better player. Plus he's 11 moths younger than Granger.

In the regular season for sure , I was giving Melo SOME praise for improved D in the playoffs.

Personally I would rather have Granger but maybe thats the homerism in me , he scored better last season and played better d (at least from what I saw in Melo in the reg season) . All of this without any real support , he didnt have a Chauncey Billups making the passes for him .

He was about as clutch as Melo too , Granger made quite a few buzzer beaters in the season

I think Mello has a take over ability that Granger hasnt really found in his game yet. That being said.. if im drafting a team im taking Danny first.. he just gives you more as an all-around player.

Melo is a better scorer than Granger. Melo was the leading scorer in the NBA until he had to sit out some time for injury and that 33 point performance in one quarter shows that he can score with the best of them. If the Pacers had Billups, J.R, and the other scorers on the Nuggets, Granger's average would drop, the Pacers hardly had any scoring options. Granger can play better D but I don't think his offensive game is better than Carmelo.

Never said Granger was a better scorer , I said he scored better last season . Granger also missed 2-3 games last season with injury .

By the way just to test your who would get the shots story

Granger attempted 1,277 shots in 80 games
Melo attempted 1,207 in 77 games

Melo attempts more shots per game even with them scorers around him

So Melo averaged 3 PPG less while taking more Shots per Game in effect

The Nuggets run a fast pace style of game and the Pacers run a more slower pace of basketball, and Melo has the ability to shoot with a hand in his face so he takes more shots. Granger has that ability to he is just more of a efficient scorer, takes high-percentage shots, doesn't force the issue as much.

Pacers run an up-tempo offense . Its what O'Brien is known for

You can at least admit after seeing that stat that Granger would work well and do well in a system with other good players like Billups around him

Considering he scored better last season while taking less shots Per Game with much less talent around him

Lol.. the Pacers like to run just like the Nuggets do, definitely not something you can use as an excuse. Mello is more of a volume shooter than Granger is, no question.

Granger is good, but def not the 2nd best SF in the league. Plus, how can you say Hedo isnt reliable in the clutch? Have you not seen him play? Did you not see that crazy black man leap to score with 1 second left in the game he did in game 2 of the eastern conference finals

For whats its worth, I don't have Josh Smith in my top 8 at SF or PF.

And the only gripe I have with a few lists, how can you leave Amare off your 5? When healthy, hes the best scoring big man in the game.

BTW look at how stacked the PG position is... I even left off a few names. Its only going to get better with Rubio, Flynn, Curry, Jennings, Holiday, Lawson, Teague, Maynor, Collison. Yes, I just named all the point guards drafted.
