Any word on that contract extension between Greinke and the Brewers?

Dempster is the last big name pitcher who is looking to be moved for sure. It seems that Garza's been pulled back, and Josh Johnson and James Shields are having offers listened to but still have a high price tag. Both Felix Hernandez and Cliff Lee have entered rumor discussions but I doubt either team decides to move them.

Josh Beckett has 10-5 rights, but the Red Sox are rumored to be listening to offers for him.

I do have to LOL at the Marlins essentially giving up HanRam, and allegedly asking the Orioles for maybe both Bundy and Machado for Johnson. I wouldn't even give both for King Felix, so have fun with that.

Felix isn't going anywhere. Teams call all the time and we don't even entertain the thought. Felix loves Seattle (no idea why, we blow) and doesn't want to leave.

The Padres have sent three officials to watch the Orioles over the last two weeks, with senior VP Omar Minaya in attendance at Camden Yards for Friday's Athletics/Orioles game at Camden Yards, according to Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun. Of course, Minaya could have also been watching the visitors, given that both Oakland and Baltimore are two of the top suitors for Chase Headley.

It seems that the Padres want at least one major-league piece back for Headley, I just wonder who that could be. I still think their asking price is going to be too high, though Headley is exactly what this team needs offensively.

Though I do agree with you despite the hard time I'm giving you, Melvin should do. Certain GMs are like Melvin, they are a builder and lack the ability to sustain things. Time for a change.

If Aramis isn't your flavor, we have a power hitting 1B/RF in Corey Hart. Great flexibility there. Relief pitching galore! And a witty veteran starting pitcher in Randy Wolf. Pull the trigger before someone else does.

Not saying you guys should take on Ramirez, but both those guys you mentioned strike out at a ridiculous rate.Reynolds has been pretty fucking awful all the way around, and they should look to dump him in the offseason, Davis is a little more versatile and they should keep him around for at least another year while they get everything in place.

Not saying you guys should take on Ramirez, but both those guys you mentioned strike out at a ridiculous rate.Reynolds has been pretty fucking awful all the way around, and they should look to dump him in the offseason, Davis is a little more versatile and they should keep him around for at least another year while they get everything in place.

Ya you say that and then you turn into the Rays, where it's all pitching and defense but nobody can put the bat on the ball lol. I agree though it's incredibly important in regards to wins, but you have to imagine it has a great impact on your pitchers psyche. Especially if you have a young group it's always good to get a good group of defenders behind them.
