RotF was incredibly painful to sit through and the ending was utter bullshit. I have no interest in seeing the third.

In this abortion of a series, I just wanted robots fighting robots - like in the fucking cartoon. Instead, sans the forest scene we've basically got everybody killing robots EXCEPT the goddamn robots.

The opening sequence , the forest scene with optimus prime , and the desert battles were phenomenal. Especially if you saw them in IMAX.

But holy damn that entire college portion/plot was wasted film. The actor who played the roommate must have given some serious BJs to get that much facetime.

The fact they downplayed Bumblebees relationship with Sam was a terrible decision as well. Optimus dies and can only be reactivated by the key thing , yet megatron gets destroyed by the all spark and a few decepticons bring him back with some spare parts ?? wtf ??

3 great things and alot of terrible decisions. I did watch it twice as those scenes were really badass and I<3 Optimus Prime.

I think the problem was actually shown in the special features of the blu ray. There was a special where they showed the writers cramming like crazy to get the screenplay done. Apparently there was a major crunch because of the writer's strike and them having to write for Star Trek and Transformers 2, looks like Start Trek won out with the kickass story line. Whereas, Michael Bay must have said fuck it and winged some of the movie.

Also apparently the movie wasn't even ready to be shown till like 2 hrs before the Japanese premiere, Bay had been given a limited amount of time to make the movie and they would push the release date back. So he did some major last minute editing and what not.

Essentially Transformers 2 was victim of circumstances and Bay's ultra-ego in getting everything in the movie he possibly could.

Apparently there was a major crunch because of the writer's strike and them having to write for Star Trek and Transformers 2, looks like Start Trek won out with the kickass story line. My intention was to bring up the fact that the movie was built on a limted time frame because of the strike an the fact that the writers of the movie were working on 2 insanely huge movie projects at the same time.

I also spread the blame to more than just the writers.

The thing about the special was it wasn't like they made it to make an excuse for how bad the movie was, but you could see why the movie seemed like it was done in a rush.

I agree on the twins being whacked and Jazz should never have been killed. Also I never understood why Jazz being a Lieutenant to Optimus would pick such a pussy car like a goddamn Solstice, no wonder Megatron tore him apart.

They explained it, but its kind of a plot hole, there was the dog and thin decepticons went to a military base and stole a part of the all spark, they then went underwater and used it to revive him, and the parts were to make him better, like at the end with Optimus. The last piece of all spark was used to turn the old jet decepticon turned autobot back into life

the 2 plot holes here, 1, all sparks takes and gives life, 2, where Megatron is was supposed to be a place where nothing could be, it would crush anything, as said in TF1

Did not know that. Good stuff. That certainly explains the editing.

Hmm..I guess it speaks volumes that I saw pt 1 twice and remember every scene vividly....pt2 twice all I remember is Optimus spinning like Zangief in the forest and devastator having big metal balls.:bongrip:

Im getting a great vibe about this flick. While reading up on the 2nd one, because of the writers strike the script was written in 14 days lol. Still can't believe they didnt finish until 2 hours till the premiere. Bottom line: the 3rd one can only go up from the 2nd.

Did Steve Jablonsky take a pansy pill ? The menu theme to GOW 3 sucks and this song selection is a weak.
