Turn auto sprint and auto strafe off. Makes playing defense and running the ball so much better. The player control is a million times better. On defense....you actually feel as if you are dictating the players movements.

fuck u ea for having auto sprint and auto strafe on by default when playing on online. that is beyond retarded.

I've been getting some good results so far and have really enjoying the game playing with auto-sprint on. My tendencies are to always sprint anyway, and it's been a struggle to stop pushing down on RT, but I like the feature.

I have played 2 games in my OD so far. First game Buffalo shut down my run game, 2nd game, I went off for 100+ against OSU.

I am New Mexico State. I think the first game was just because I didn't know the strengths of my team

heres something some may not know. in ever past EA football game, the right stick has always been used in a flick of the stick motion. I just noticed the other day that this game, u dont flick the RS, you hold the RS in a direction. Like i an always flicking up even though its not a truck feature now. But if you hold it up u will see your RB go into and crouched down run. Then u can rotate the stick to make him spin.

i knew u could spin off a move and string moves together, i just didnt know about holding it in a direction. This is also applied to pass rushing too. Instead of flicking on defense, try holding and rotating and u see some cool things happen

I dont see how you can trust EA to determine when to sprint and when not to. Rarely has ea developed and implemented a good feature in their football games, so i dont trust auto sprint. Auto sprint on makes things alot harded as defensively u sprint when you dont need to defensively and offensively. Also, you can feel the speed of players and break more runs with it off.

Ive had hard times running from the spread when this was on.

Now I have it turned off and it works slightly better. Still weak running out of it.

Its a lot more useful out of a pro offense package though. I tried Wisconsin the other day and Clay tore shit up. I was glad to realize I just dont suck at running.

i still catch myself doing the old switch and dive. its an old habit from the genesis days. It worked so well back then.

for some reason i always seem to hit the RB button when trying to user catch. I think i am gonna switch the catch button to RB instead of trying to use Y. i hate not making user catches but i am so worried about fumbles that i go right to the RB to cover the ball

pressing up on the right stick covers the ball...

Its the actual protect ball button. up on the right stick is one of those highlight moves...what do they call it shield/lean or something. idk if thats actually designed to cover the ball even though the runner goes down into that steamroller running style. If it works thats all that counts

agree....it turns on only when you have distance against the last guy and running a straight path.
