Well, that just illustrates my point.
These judges fear the 10-10 round, because nobody wants to score a draw. It's silly, and isnt really fair. When you think about it, there are alot of MMA rounds that are even rounds. Whenever you find yoursefl saying, "I'd hate to have to score that round", it should probably be 10-10.
Now, if you want to further eliminate the possibility of draws, scoring should be adjusted like this:
10-10: too close to call, or nothing really happening
10-9: very close round
10-8: one fighter clearly wins the round, generally what is considered a 10-9 currently
10-7: one fighter dominates, nearly finishes. the current 10-8.
This way, if a fighter has one of those killer rounds, he is highly unlikely to lose unless he gets stopped.
Judges fear the 10-10, and they fear the 10-8. In a 3 or 5 round environment, 10-8's should be more common to ensure dominance has impact.
