The rules dictate that its a draw, im saying that the majority draw rule is iffy. By how the rules are set up it was indeed a draw. I also said that in the chat box last night, but your head was too far up your ass to notice.

I can't speak for Kuzzy, but for me I have nothing aganist draws either, I just never understood why majority draws exist. I understand the mindset of majorty in terms of two judges overiding the opinion of one, but to me if one judge picks a winner that guy should win. I have no issue with split draws or straight draws.

Yeah my thoughts exactly, I have no problem with draws at all, I just think the concept of the "majority draw" doesnt really make much sense. If one judge calls it a draw and the other 2 are split, or if all 3 judges have it a draw, then I see no problem with that. But if one judge scores it to one fighter and the other 2 a draw, you dont think that fighter is kind of getting screwed?

I think Fitch should have won the fight (he got the 2nd round), but the general concept of a majority draw makes sense. You have 3 judges so one person can't determine the outcome of a fight. It always takes 2/3 to determine the outcome. So if two judges say that no one won the fight, how would it be fair to allow it to boil down to one opinion, when the majority says otherwise.

Both rounds all that happened was BJ took him down and he got an escape/reversal, BJ would get a reversal/escape etc. Fitch didn't get a takedown until round 3. BJ definitely won the first 2 but Fitch dominated the 3rd.

Then that means Fitch didn't win the fight unless you're scoring the 3rd 10-7. Also, Fitch did get a Takedown in the 2nd, controlled the action, and landed some hard shots.

Your logic makes no sense. If you felt that Penn won two rounds out of three, there was no way you can feel that Fitch won the fight under unified rules.

I think it ultimately comes down to whether (a) you value position vs. strikes and (b) your standards of a 10-8 round. I see a lot of people that argue that Fitch's third was only a 10-9 round. I gave the second to Fitch because he landed more strikes standing and spent the last 1:30 pounding on Penn in his guard.

That's not adding up if you had BJ winning the first two rounds, mystery math aside it was definitely a razor close fight and they should rematch.

IMO Fitch won 29-28. I gave him the 2nd, very close round, and the 3rd. I believe Fitch outstruck Penn like 135-0 in the 3rd.
