As good as Cerrone's grappling is, Nate Diaz is one of the last lightweights you want to engage into a ground battle with. He has great submissions.

Still though, Cerrone had to know he was going to lose based on Diaz consistently landing punch after punch.

Surely I wasnt the only one amused at the prefight breakdown and Joe Rogan giving the striking advantage to Cerrone and subs being split, two things I think clearly went to Nate. As a dog the smart money was on Nate still, but Cerrone made a valiant effort make a fight of it in rounds 2 and 3 IMO, and had a case for both those rounds, 2nd especially.

Pleased for Hendricks, I remember watching him in the prelims, that was a huge win for him.

Diaz/Cerrone fight was good, too, especially considering everyone hates both of them.

Love the diaz fight. He still lacks power but his stand up is getting better and better.

I'm pissed at Brock reminds me of old Tyson just half assing press conferences and showing no effort. If his health is ok then he is a truly heartless fighter.

Overeem vs JDS will be damn interesting. Still think JDS is best hw but Overeem dropping a 270 pound man with the basic kick is impressive.

I was suspicious when I saw the late money on Overeem and guys like Dave Meltzer being confident in Overeem winning, after thinking this was a pick em fight a month ago. Lesnar was obviously not 100% and the retirement whispers were there.

Brock was likely not all there mentally and clearly wasn't physically. Plus the pee test thing.

I can't wait to see the big smile on Junior's face when he wins.

Yeah, he is for real... he beat a guy who went through two bouts of diverticulitis and made no effort to attempt to use his strongest asset (wrestling.)

JDS will kill him. His hands are far too fast and as long as he can avoid getting hit by one of Overeem's hard punches or kicks (since his "world class standup" consists of nothing more than covering up and looking for monster punches and knees), he'll have no problem with Overeem. Then again, we thought that as long as Brock Lesnar used his wrestling and got the fight to the ground he'd have no problems, and of course that's the one thing he didn't even really bother trying to do.

The Brock boys are super pissed and making tons of excuses. The Overeem trolls are having a field day. Everybody else pretty much agrees with this guy:

Im a huge brock fan but beating a 45 year old Randy couture was not some major accomplishment.

His legacy is as a freak athlete who was a huge star, not as a great MMA fighter.

Theres no argument to be made for Brock as a great fighter. He had certain attributes and skills that he was able to use over Herring, Couture, Mir and Carwin....but in the grand scheme, he will be remembered more for being a superstar than an actual fighter.

Whats the early word on the PPV numbers that are based off treading and who watched the preview show?

The REEM is a smart man taking this fight instead of a title shot, like Warner said, he gets 2 bucks for every buy after 500,000, I dont think this will do great, but it is better than if he fought Cain or JDS right away, Brock brings the buys, and this will help his next fight by getting his feet wet in the UFC

To bad he doesnt get a a straight bonus for every buy, the UFC screwed Brock and THE REEM with this Friday show, probably took a huge dip compared if this was on Saturday

The 10 p.m. Eastern and 7 p.m. Pacific debut of the show did 15,000 viewers. The replay at 1 a.m. Eastern and 10 p.m. Pacific did 1,000 viewers. Both airings did so low they registered an 0.0 rating and an 0.0 in the key Male 18-34 demo. The one good thing when it comes to Lesnar vs. Overeem is this same special, which is very good, particularly when it comes to getting Overeem over, will air on Spike on 12/29 after Impact. And it will also air on Fox Sports Net throughout the week.
