I scored it 48-48, but I'm glad that Bendo got the nod. We finally get some fresh blood in the division and Bendo/Diaz >>>>>>>>>> Edgar/Diaz.

Only round benson may have won after was 5, but Edgar won that fight sorry.
 
Bendo landed the harder strikes throughout. Edgar has no pop to his strikes, so unless he clearly wins the striking exchanges he simply won't get the benefit of the doubt in a close match. That's why those takedowns of his are so important when he fights.

The irony is that this fight actually warrants a rematch, but Edgar isn't going to get it.

robbery? not close to some of the recent fights screw up by the judges. bendo won but the judging does need to get consistent and better you should be rewarded for trying to finish a fight not dancing a round throwing jabs here and there trying to edge by a round
 
there should be no round limit to championship fights

How can people say robbery when Edgar didn't deserve a rematch in the first place? So when will Ben Henderson vs Nate Diaz fight?

It was closer than that, wouldn't have been a shock if Edgar got the nod it was that tight.

This fight was even closer, but the show must move on.

Diaz/Henderson is awesome...I wonder if Nate's weakness against wrestlers will rear its head again.

Depends on what you mean by deserve. In a traditional context, only a small minority felt that Edgar won the first fight and although the fight was close, Bendo was generally seen as the clear winner. On the other hand Frankie had to give rematches to Penn and Maynard, so not granting him a rematch would not have been fair.

I'm not seeing the robbery, either. It was close and could have went either way.

If you need to be mad at someone, be mad at Frankie. He whined his way into a rematch and fought the exact same fight that lost it for him the first time.

I have to admit, i'm with rob, I have no passion for this decision and kinda forced myself to watch the fight via shitty stream. Meh.
 
I shouldn't just blame Frankie to much, zuffa/Joe Silva have awful matchmaking but Frankie's style just makes it easy for them, live by the points, die by the points
