UFC in Japan?

The latest issue of Japanese magazine Kampiro (via NightmareofBattle) allegedly features an interview with UFC President Dana White in which he states "a Japan event is already in the 2011 schedule." The report also says the event is rumored to be happening in December.
If the rumor is true, it would mark 11 years since the last time the organization was in The Land of the Rising Sun, which was in Tokyo for UFC 29 on Dec. 16, 2000.

Japan is ripe for something fresh. The time to strike is right now, for both SF & UFC. Both groups have fighters who were big stars in Japan in the past who can headline.

PRIDE/DREAM is dead, its time to see if something fresh can revive Japan. PRIDE 3.0 won't cut it, people have tiredof that, its a culture of fads and that fad has passed.

Perhaps the UFC can build a Japan show around Shogun Rua (if he beats Bones).
