Guess I was wrong, was expecting the usual shit free card
Gil says he thought he won the first two rounds, and took his foot off the pedal a little after that until the fifth round. Kind of silly if you ask me. Why not go hard in the third round and then catch your breath in the fourth, so you can finish strong if you are worried about stamina? Second round was close, Ben scored the trip knockdown on the leg kick, and was pressing Gil enough to maybe squeek that round. I don't know why he would think he for sure won that round. It was super close. Until next time I guess...

I gave him 1, 2 and 5, but 2 was very close, at least everyone of the judges had it 48-47, either way works depending on how you see it
I think Gil needed to get a couple cheap TDs when he caught the leg like it the first, would have got him another round and the win

Just finished watching the main card today, great action. I'll have to go back and actually score it, but from an old PRIDE standpoint I thought Gil won.
I said it was close and with mma judges now a days ben would get it, I was saying how judges would score it

Maynard is a big jump in competition for Grant IMO, I hope hes ready for the step up, ive been a big fan of his for a long time. Hes quietly been on a great win streak, but this will be by far his toughest test.

I'm not surprised by Cormier's fight. He was dominating the stand up and Mir basically let him dirty box his way to victory. No reason for Cormier to look for a ground and pound game with Mir's abilities in the guard. Cormier backed off Mir multiple times trying to get a stand and trade but Mir didn't want any part of that. Cormier made Mir look like an amateur other than a good knee of two to the body in the clinch.
