Agreed but, at the same time- Jones should have taken the fight. I don't see anyway Sonnen beats him. Sonnen had no camp, and he is probably still small so Jones would crush him. He needs to man up and take it.

If this was 2007, there would have been a half dozen viable replacements, and Jones would have agreed to fight one of them.

I think Jones should have taken the fight, but he's hardly the first guy to say no to a last minute change. I can see where he is coming from, too.
 
How is it manning up to take a fight you won't lose?

He has a fight against a real LHW contender the next show now, saving a crappy card for a company to make a quick buck isn't his concern

Jones has nothing to gain.

I can see where Jones would not want it. Plus, the fight will be there later and they will have more than 8 days to hype it. If Jones loses to Karate Man, they will do Jones/Sonnen with far more hype. If Jones wins and Sonnen gets a 205 win, they will do a title fight with far more hype.

People are mad at Jones, but this is on Zuffa and their terrible business model.
 
He needs to save the card Rob, real mma fighters mostly take fights, this shit is sad. Yeah guys have turned down fights but, sonnen is no threat, its money in the bank and an easy title fight, why not.

All these events finally caught up with the UFC. Props to Sonnen for wanting to step in on short notice and now he's got ammo to talk even more shit. Sonnen/JBJ could do some numbers if Sonnen wins impressively.

I see why Jones doesn't want it, but man... this hurts a lot of people. Fans are really hating him right now, listening to Junkie and people are pissed. If he is a " business man " this is a shitty business decision.
 
What are people really mad about? It was a crap card besides Jones vs Hendo, Dan is hurt, Chael vs Jones is a joke fight, that fight wouldn't save anything

If anything, if saved 50 bucks for the rubes willing to buy it, I applaud Jones for saving the fans some money
