With all the BS that agents have caused lately -Drew R., Bus Cook (Favre, Cutler), could this be an agent pulling the strings? Or is this guys really this clueless?

I just know what I read, and don't believe a lot of it. But it seems like he doesn't have the best work ethic.

After 3 years he has yet to learn to read a defense. Though he did come from a college that didn't have a Pro passing attack and that hurts him in the NFL.

He sulks and sort of quit on his team last year.

Well, man you are pretty much right on the money with everything you posted except for the bolded part.

Without a doubt, he definitely quit on his team in the season opener last year. Thats unforgivable in the sports world and is something that is hard to overcome. I can't think of very many Oilers/Titans that have lost their starting jobs under Jeff Fisher. He is usually very loyal to his players as long as they always put forth the effort.

Vince lost the respect of his teammates and coaches with his little cry baby act last year. Although there are a ton of VY supporters here, and mainly in TX, he'll never get another shot with the Titans and I don't blame them. I wouldn't want a quitter leading my team either. What really gets me is all of the Vince Young conspiracy theories we got floating around here that the starting job was stolen from him and that the Titans have an agenda to keep him from playing.

If Vince had a clue, he would be starting. If he could read a defense, he would be starting. If he spent some time in the film room and had better work ethic, he would be starting. If he could throw a pass in the flats, he would be starting. If you replaced his female-esque emotions, he would be starting. If his testicles had ever descended, he would be starting. And last, but most importantly...if he hadn't quit on his team against Jacksonville last year, he would be starting.

Good riddance, Vince. If not this year, then for sure next year.

If the titans trade him or cut him AFTER this season there is no cap hit, I believe its about a 5-6 mil cap hit if they did it this year. He isnt going anywhere. Shut your mouth and be a good little 3rd stringer Vincy Poo. The titans have three top 10 picks at QB on their roster and most think the two they didnt draft (Kerry Collins and Patrick Ramsey) are ahead of Vince on the depth chart.

Before this offseason started he talked about how he wanted to come in and compete for the starting job... Im thinking he's seeing both of those guys grasp a NFL offense better than him and it hurts his pride. I wonder if Chris Mortensen's son is doing better than VY in OTAs.

He was/is a dynamic player and is an assest to any team he will play for

The dude was an athlete in Texas, by far (imo) the best college football/athlete i've seen or will see. As far as i know, the guy can catch and run, so try him on the wildcat. If they release him, then i'll be happy/

The titans tried to trade him going into the draft nobody would give up anything of value for him. The rest of the NFL isnt stupid. They can watch game film and see all the piss poor decisions and turnovers.

What made tennessee draft him anyways. I was under the impression that Fischer liked Cutler over Young.

The Oilers/Titans owner Bud Adams is a Houston guy, he still lives in Houston. So naturally he was immersed in the Vince Young hype. Fisher is a USC guy and we had Norm Chow as offensive coordinator at the time they were both pushing for Leinart. Bud Adams trumped them and said its my team bitches we're taking the Texas boy.

Exactly! Basically it boiled down to there being a toss-up within the Titans organization on which quarterback to take. Bud Adams wanted Young. Chow wanted Leinart and Fisher wanted Cutler.

What baffles me the most is how these teams make it seem like it's committing professional malpractice to go against the talking heads' draft boards and take a guy that you like who may not be rated as a "top pick" by others. If you see a guy that you think can help your team and can play at this level, take him, regardless of where others have him slotted.
