I know my thing is picking against Silva, but Sonnen doesnt really have a shot and Nate wouldn't have won a rematch, I really dont know who they will get, if And1 fights another 205er it will be a long ass time since he defended the 185 belt

Regardless, this is going to be an Anderson walk over. Maia has a sick ground game, but he hasn't shown the ability to get it there consistently

EDIT - This suspension is only good for the North America/the NSAC. Abu Dhabi is unregulated. I don't know if this move makes friends if Maia isn't cleared by a reputable doctor. Could this be a Big Foot Silva situation where the fighter doesn't recognize the NSAC's decision and will end up punished further in the long run?

thank goodness the rest of the card is stacked. CB, interesting point, but I don't think the UFC would put him in that sort of position. I'm sure he's clear and good to go.
 
This is not the same situation as Big Foot. That was a steroid disciplinary measure while this is purely health related.

I'm sure Maia will not step foot in the octagon unless he gets the OK from some doctor.

Boy, if Maia wins he sure fucks up some $$$ plans. Besides, I thought Maia trained with the Blackhouse crew.
 
I'm not pumped for this fight but I wont crap on it, with the way the UFC does business this is the best fight they could make, Maia is a legit MW

The most 'interesting' matches for Silva are outside of the UFC right now, Hendo, Mousasi, Jacare and even Lawler would draw more interest than Maia, but thats how it is, Maia is a stud BJJ player like Jacare, but he doesnt have the TDs of Jacare so this could turn into an ugly match for Maia

silva's gonna be scared shitless to go to the ground with maia so he has no choice but to stand. now hes either gonna be aggressive and knock maia out or dance around and play pattycake with him like he did with leites. if we are lucky we might get to see the rarely thrown but extremely deadly leg punches that silva used to break down leites
