[ALL] VSN Arcade Podcast 1/20/11

To each his own. I think to have any kind of decent discussion, especially with four or five dudes, it has to be at least an hour. Now Games Radar on the other hand, with their 2 1/2, 3 hour marathons is a bit much.

giant bomb is usually 2 hrs plus.
once you guys get used to doing this, hopefully less talking over each other. i would stick with the hour recording.

no criticisms, after a while you will be giving shit away for free...lol

You can't be wrong about an opinion on price. Do I think it will sell like gangbusters? Fuck yeah. That doesn't mean it's not $50 too much. That was our main point.

Just like the Kinect. Waaaaaaaay over priced but it's still selling like hotcakes.

this....for me personally i think even $200 is too much, its just not my thing. but at 250 it will sell like mad. if i am playing a hand held game it better include my balls

Decent agenda IMO. You could also pick one main topic to discuss in depth. Like Game hacking, Motion gaming, Portable gaming, Current state of sports games, New Consoles soon?, ect, ect.

i love the QNA idea.....keep in mind that we already did this show once last week with almost the same topics. it was great and much better imo....it just didnt record...shit happens....but this show felt like we were trying to not repeat our self and kind of dampened the flow we had the first time. Plus we got a bit of topic

I'm listening to it myself now and I definitely agree with whomever said that BrntO and I sound alike. It's pretty uncanny actually.

agree....problem was these guys kept saying they couldnt hear me and even mentioned it during the beginning of the show. not sure what the issue was in skype, because during the playback i am loud and clear. During the show i actually had to hold the mic up to my lips and i was tyring to not sound like i had my mouth on the mic....the end result is that nasal sound

You can always push up the EQ after we record to get higher levels. Just don't push it too much and blow out the audio.

Just finished listening to it. Pretty good. For an arcade podcast though it didn't seem like you talked about any actual games outside of Killzone 3, and the ones you were currently playing. Maybe every week you could have some sort of featured game of the podcast that either has released or has been announced. Also have a section where you discuss your favorite _______. One week it could be game graphics, another time game villain or hero, it favorite story. At times the thing dragged but that's obviously going to happen with your first few. Comment more when I think of it.

On a side note - Maynard and Golden have great podcasts voices. Kind of like that homeless bum who had a great radio voice, except with a podcast. Kick-Ass is a 9, I sound like a roided man beast not a Mexican child, and I think my new game score system is better.
