VSN Baseball Spring Training Random Thoughts

I'm still not a fan of hitting, even on veteran. This game just seems broke this year. I'm constantly early, even on fastballs. Then sometimes, I get blown away by a pitch. It seems like there's no rhyme or reason to the hitting now. I'm guessing way more than I ever did before, and constantly reminding myself to swing late. This game feels like a chore now, and lost the fun factor of last year.

Best summary I've seen yet. Exactly how I feel but you have said it better than I ever have.

It just isn't fun anymore. Last year was a blast, this year isn't even close.

Yup, I thought we were going to have another 15 inning marathon. One of these days I'll hang on for a win with these sorry Pirates. lol I guess McCutchen's error made up for Panda's throwing error early in the game.

i saved a replay of that error. i said wtf...looking at the replay and he just didnt catch it. it went under his glove.

that game was a pitcher duel all the way. i been hitting the shit out of the ball lately so playing one like that was great. it shows that a great pitcher will stop hitting...great pitcher meaning you. you had me fooled all game and the 11 K's i had i felt were all on me.

even when i made contact i felt i was off and the results showed. only 6 hits for me. i was kept off balance all game

maybe sony can make getting hits easier online. i looked thru some of the lobbies and WTB was right. people are hitting well below 200

Maybe I just need to play more to get the timing down. You always pitch well so I expect a low scoring game, but everything at the plate just feels off to me. That McCutchen double off the right field wall felt like I hit it out of the catcher's glove. But the Doumit HR felt perfect. I was expecting a low fastball, and hit the snot of it. But other times, I swing a minute early on a 94mph pitch. lol I miss my 20 run outbursts of last year!

if you're hitting anywhere near .200 you're accomplishing something.

I forgot, wasnt Maynard the person who bought an adapter to use his 360 controller on the PS3 because "the shitty controller design" was causing him to suck? I find it funny that when he used the same controller as the rest of us, it caused him to suck but now he thinks hes fucking Cy Young of VSN using a different controller. it worked perfectly except for the dead zone down and up on the stick. the pitching cursor would hit the low part of the K Zone but then jump down to the dirt. I returned it to amazon along with the wired controller i need in order to use the adapter.

im hitting 243 now in about 9 games all on all star, first few were really bad so it isnt that bad. i actually like the all star setting
