yeah ok....allan needs to learn how to cover for his teammate if he wants to be called a shutdown d. a shutdown defenseman's first priority is supposed to be defense first and allow his partner to take a chance every now and then. every time allan steps up to pinch i back up in case he misses. he never does the same thing for me. its pretty easy to do because if the defenseman who pinches does get the puck, he's not going to pass to his partner, he's going to dump it. plenty of time to get back into the zone, and you're in perfect position to back up your partner. basic hockey, and anyone who has actually played the game at defense in real life could tell you this....
