As of right now, my GOTY would be Mass Effect 3. However, I'm holding off on voting b/c I'm pretty sure Far Cry 3 is going to make a strong push here at the end.

I think Walking Dead is a great game, and I like that it's not the norm and really invigorates the adventure genre, but I think it's lacking in a lot of departments. A lot of the game is well written but it had more than its' fair share of groan inducing moments with cheesy dialogue and predictable situations.

I'm all in with the game and definitely looking forward to the next "season" but it's far from a GotY in my opinion.

For me, it's got to be ME3. I was hoping it could be ACIII but it was pretty underwhelming for me.

I thought it had the best lead character of the year and the best kids probably ever. And the story itself really had me at the end. In a year of sequels, it was nice to play something original and unique in a lot of ways. Even XCOM which is my second favorite, is just a remake. I liked that it was original and that made it stand out along with its other positives over everything else.
