They are ladder games. There are pick up games (exhibition games that count for nothing), ladder games (ranked games that count toward the site leaderboard) and league games. Besides the fact that I clearly said anywhere between 6-8 mins would be my preference so I'm really not sure why you are rambling on about 10 mins...which I already said we weren't doing. The point is one motherfucker won't decide quarter length. Not me, not you, not one other single person. Once the game is out and people have joined the community we will vote. Simple as that. I'm not accepting votes from people that aren't in the community, so we will decide after people have joined.

The online community at MM outside of the league diehards since the PS2 has been shittious. I put most of the fault of this at EA's feet since the games they have delivered for the next gen systems have never captured the same playability we had on last gen. The remaining portion of the blame goes to everybody else since nobody wants to go along with the majority for the greater good on settings. They will just piss and moan and quit playing the game by October just to prove a point :yep:

You can try and glorify the shit all you want, if it isnt a league game its a pick up game thats simply being tracked. If you said 6 mins is fine then do your duty as a "community leader" and dead the noise. Theres only two types of games.. league and ladder. who the hell wants to play a pickup game that doesnt count for shit? with the tracker it was a given every game was being tracked. any game against another guy in community should be tracked none of this practicing shit.

"Doing my job" as a "community leader" is to ensure we can please as many people as possible. It does not mean that I ignore what the majority wants and "dead the noise". If the majority wants 7 min quarters, why the fuck would I ignore them? To flex my "community leader" muscles? That's retarded. Place your vote when the time comes, as will I. That's all you can do. Your opinion and my opinion is no more important than Bill or Dave's.

This does not mean that these settings won't change throughout the year as new people join and people become inactive. A good community will need to change with it's members.

Yes. I am not going to just play a game that is shit and not fun or feels like a chore. If people stop playing a game for another one who cares? Everyone here wants to like the game. Every1 here wishes the game was good enough to carry their attention through. nobody here is dropping 60$ every year on madden to play for 2 months and bail. Nobody wants that. but if the game blows people r not going to waste there time. cant blame them.

I have to agree that ladder, tracker, whatever you want to call them, ranked or unranked are still pickup games imo. There are league games, and then there are pickup games.

Mr bill I understand. I guess I'm different from some people. If I sign up for 220, I'm not going to quit cause I don't like the game. I'm going to have.a good excuse. Mr. Bill can vouch for that. I've disliked madden the last few years like most but have finished every season so for someone to sign up for leagues and shit only to quit in a few months shows where this community is overall. I might not play a lot of trackers, but I try to finish a league if I van help it.Then you have mfers disrespecting each other daily. That's the culture that's been tolerated here but its not how it was in the beginning and its why people left.

And for those who think this happens everywhere, that's false. I can name 2 or 3 other madden communities that play for the love, play year round, and not to just bitch and moan over little stuff.

If we don't want them to be separate from pick up games, that's fine. To me it makes more sense. We could always just play ranked games before with 5-6 min quarters. Why the fuck didn't people use it before? If you only played "vsn room" games, it's the same shit as what people want apparently. Want your leader board? Add the people that you play and sort by friends at the ranking screen. Again, being that sliders can't be used in TGT, it doesn't really matter. There will be polls to decide what the majority wants and that's what we will go with.

The issue used to be that to play All Madden we would have to play unranked. and some people preferred 6 min qtrs. Because of unranked people wanted to track their record and then the tracker came about for that which turned into a mini leaderboard.

As for "why have we not always used it before" I dont understand. We didnt have the option. It was all our work. Now that we have the option of counting these pick up games we will with no work to be done.
