It is definitely Cam Newton. If Moore would have gone undefeated, I might have considered voting for him. The QB Rating for Moore is incredible, but Newton deserves it because he scored 48 touchdowns. While leading his team through the SEC to an undefeated season.

I like Luck... Moore... Idk, I've been a backer of the non automatic qualifiers for a while, but the defenses he throws against are just not even close to up to par with what the other two have faced off against. My vote would be Cam Newton if not for the controversy, But I wouldn't put in a vote for somebody who I 100% believe will be stripped of this trophy in due time. James was impressive, but I think Luck was bigger to his team Oregon is so deep at HB I feel like if he wasn't on the field as much this year than another Oregon back would have similar numbers.

I voted for Moore, just because Newton and James are scumbags. But I have no problems with Newton winning, he was clearly the best (offensive) player in America this year.

I think LaMichael James is the best player on the best team. Auburn did play a tougher schedule, but their defense just wasn't on par. I think Oregon is the better team...

However, I think Cameron Newton was, undisputably, the best player in the nation. The Maxwell and Camp voters agree.

The investigation is still ongoing. He's not ineligible because they haven't found any evidence that Auburn paid him, yet ... Doesn't mean they won't.

I would still vote for him, but I don't need the NCAA to rule on this matter to conclude that Cam Newton is a scumbag.

Let's review:

- Buys stolen laptop at Florida
- Gets caught cheating and plagiarizing 3 different times
- Facing expulsion, he transfers citing "playing time" even though he's promised to be the starter a year from now anyway (the same time frame it took him to land at AU)
- His father pimped him out, and embezzled the money through his church.
- His father's church is miraculously rescued from bankruptcy, around the same time Newton changes his college decision at the 11th hour, signing with the dirtiest program in the NCAA, and we're led to believe he knew nothing of the pay-for-play stuff.
- Gives really arrogant, out of touch answers for interview questions, such as:

" I hated Junior College but it was a business trip."
" I called coach Mullen and told him that I'll be taking my talents to Auburn, Alabama."

(Still amazed by the second quote, just because of how similar it is to the famous words that got LeBron raked over the coals this summer for being a self-important dickhead.)

Newton can have his fucking Heisman, but he'll never have my respect. He's a spoiled and entitled cock-sucker who has had his messes cleaned up for him since high school. (And Westlake HS produces absolutely terrible people, trust me on this, they were in our region and I played against them in baseball and football. Just the worst fucking kids.)

He's a great player and all, give him the fucking trophy for all I care, but let's not pretend that these are the first (or last) allegations to surface on this kid.

Why is it that people like you ignore the actual qualifications of a Heisman winner? It isn't JUST the "best player", because many of the "best players" have lost the award because of their off-field actions.
