First off, those "leaked" gloves and cleats were made specifically for the Pro Bowl. (they were "leaked" 1-2 days before the 2012 Pro Bowl)

Second, there will not be any drastic changes to the NFL uniforms. The NFL has to approve any and all changes to colors, logos etc. Teams can't even make a slight color change to a pinstripe on their pants without the NFL giving it's blessing.

The changes in the uniforms will be primarily be reflected in the construction of the jerseys.

Anyways, the new Nike NFL uniforms will be unveiled on April 3.

Nike has already gone on record and basically said they're not going to do anything close to what they've done at Oregon. They will modify the uniforms that need to be modified (Seahawks are first up for Nike), and leave the classics alone (Packers, Cowboys, Bears, etc).

Not really. Seahawks uni's from their start in 1976 through 2001 (25 years), were virtually un-changed, with only minor striping changes, adding numbers to the shoulders, and changing facemask from silver to blue.

They got brand new uni's when they moved from the AFC to the NFC in 2002.

They still have basically the same uni's for all of 2002 thru 2011, adding a darker pant for 3 games in 2009. They did come up with the Neon Green alternate uni's in 2009, but only played with those in one game total. Pete came in and retired the Neon Green uni's permanently.

My team has had White on gray and Blue on gray for almost 50 years with no change but for a couple of temporary occasions. I dont even think we had a game in dark colors last season at all. A team with 5 different combos, a lot of which have been showcased the last few seasons, seems like a lot to me.

But thanks Seahawks fans for that valuable history lesson on Seahawk uniforms. Ill be sure to store that in the "important information" area of my brain.

The only thing I read about Seattle's new jerseys are that the helmets will be a darker blue. Not sure about anything else at this point.

the truth is..all teams have had more changes then people realize, just very subtle changes...like the Raiders, i'm sure the Cowboys have had different shades of silver in their helmets too..every team every year is tweaking,but because the base looks the same to the fan, they hardly ever notice the difference

They look a lot like the classic unis, which means they look a thousand times better than the goofy unis they've been wearing since 2002. I think the current Seahawk unis are the worst in the league.
