LTs Charlie Johnson, Tony Ugoh return to Indianapolis Colts practice, RT Ryan Diem misses
The Indianapolis Colts got good news at the left tackle position Thursday.
At right tackle, it wasn’t as positive.
Starting LT Charlie Johnson, after missing last week’s game and Wednesday’s practice with a foot injury, returned to practice on a full-participation basis Thursday, as did Tony Ugoh, who started in place of Johnson Sunday before missing practice Wednesday with a hip injury.
Starting RT Ryan Diem missed practice Thursday with a hamstring injury after practicing Wednesday.
If Diem can’t play, Ugoh – a starter the past two seasons at left tackle before moving into a backup role behind Johnson and Diem in the offseasn — could start at the spot. The Colts on Wednesday signed OT Michael Toudouze, a reserve tackle and practice squad player with the team from 2006-2008.
Also Thursday, DE Dwight Freeney returned to practice after missing to rest Wednesday, but DE Robert Mathis (quad) missed a second consecutive practice. DE Keyunta Dawson (knee) practiced a second consecutive day after missing three games. Colts LB Clint Session (calf) also returned to practice Thursday and DT Daniel Muir was limited with a hamstring injury.
S Antoine Bethea also returned Thursday after resting Wednesday while WR Hank Baskett missed Thursday for personal reasons.
