I don't think so. I think Smith was faking like he wanted to go inside because Newman has been playing the inside so hard all game since he has over the top help.

Smith wanted to fake the slant and run a fade route between Newman and the safety.

It was a miscommunication on both their parts but really Delhomme should not have thrown that with the way Newman has been playing inside shade the entire game with safety help over the top.

Panthers did everything wrong in the 2nd half, not enough run plays, poor tackling, unlucky calls. Damn Mushin Muhammad caught that ball clean IMO.

On another note, after Wade Phillips' press conference, I never heard a "Panthers played hard" or "They gave it their best" or "They played with great effort." That's just disrespectful to a team that held you to 21 points (or 14 points). Another reason why I don't like the Cowboys.

Your defense allowed 450 yards, 200 of which came on the ground. 3 points off the board because of a Folk shank and 4 more off the board because of a false start at the 1 as well as 4 more off the board because of bad playcalling =11 more points the offense has.

edit: obviously the 2nd part is coulda, woulda, shoulda but you still allowed 450 yards of offense.

That was definitely PI by Muhammad. You cannot put your hands on a DB, doesn't matter how little it looked on TV, you can't do that.

The Panthers have themselves to blame for this loss and no one else. Delhomme needs to get his shit straight or they need to go elsewhere.

That said, if the Panthers do get rid of Delhomme I really wouldn't mind seeing him in Oakland. That's how bad it is over here.

And I honestly haven't seen that poor of tackling in a professional football game in quite a while. The Panthers looked like they had never gone through tackling drills before.

Not only is he doubled the entire night by Newman and a safety over the top but Delhomme just throws a ball straight to Newman for a TD.

Making it look like Newman is actually good. Anyone who says Newman is a top CB in this league doesn't know what they are talking about.

Newman has had double coverage help all game, top NFL CB's don't need double coverage help.

He's 31 years old now and has had numerous lower body injuries over the last 3 years.

It's clear he's not what he once was. Doesn't change the fact that it was conveniently overlooked for years that he was as good at locking down a WR as any corner in the game. Prior to this year, I dare you to find me more than 3 instances of him getting burned in his entire career.

That said, dude comes to play against Steve Smith, and when the safety "helping out" is Ken Hamlin, I'm still giving him his due. He did great tonight.

Did you also notice like everyother game when you decide to put Barbie in the game something bad happens and then the TV crew points out how it happened and Barbie is usually involved.. Man i was at the game yesterday ( i used the party passes lol and ended up getting a good standing spot along the rail) and that stadium was rocking! That was my first game at the new stadium and man of man was it a blast. There was like, what, 90,000 there last night. The Cowboys fans last nite (most of whom were drunk of course) were louder than the student section at Oklahoma State home football games lol. Then again, OSU only has room for 60,000.

I loved how Dallas transformed to a more polished team in the second half and i am more than happy that our d shut down Carolina's offense. Nice win and nice experience for me.

You and hating on the draws. I did hate the draw call from the 2 but that was only because we decided to throw 2 fades on 2nd and 3rd down. Draws worked to perfection, AGAIN. Face it, it is a staple of our offense and its been working.

Roy actually had a pretty good game imo. 4 catches 75 yards. He dropped that one in the endzone but Romo just had to get it a little higher imo.

Crayton had a good return game but your not gonna get on his case for being a little bitch? He fucking ducked out of bounds on 2 different punts and one was when the punter was coming at him. Lower your shoulder and take the fucking punter out, stop being a pussy.

I agree with you that JG is a terrible playcaller and I have been saying it, along with everyone else, since last year. Why do we come out 4 wide with no running back when we are running the ball great?

The second Int was all on Smith , you can't cut across like you are going run a slant then just stop still . Clearly he was frustrated and was trying to make an amazing play instead of just running the slant like he was supposed to

I normally like Smith but he moaned ALL game about not getting the ball (apart from the QPs they threw) .... newsflash Steve , you were NEVER open . The Panthers playcalling + Delhomme is horrible though
