i was never once confident in the raiders offense.

running game will never be great with the offense that we have right now. no passing threat whatsoever.

i thought dmc/bush could get over 100 total yards but there's only so much they can do by themselves.

gallery's injury hasn't helped as he was our best OL.

cedric benson just ran a TD in and i started him and SD just returned a pick for a TD.

And I'm not sure what "first game of the season" has to do with anything. You said Benson ran all over us that day yet we contained him better than Pittsburgh or Green Bay.

first game of the season = offenses typically struggle.

hell, early in the season offenses typically struggle altogether. you can see it all over the league as very few offenses look to be in "mid-season form". that's why they call it "mid-season form," because teams struggle offensively early on..in case you didn't know.

benson has 70 yards rushing on pittsburgh. i believe he had 130 total against you guys?

and green bay ain't all that great, rams scored 17 on them today.

Marshall Will not have a big game as long as Asomugha is on him and Royal and Stokley are due. More Stokley than Royal. Raiders D has 3 picks this game. Denver D gets ran all over. The less they put it on the arm of Russel the better we will do. Somehow i think we will have to put it on the arm of Russel... at least give DHB a chance at a catchable ball deep.

I am just hoping Russell can complete around 50% of his passes. As long as he does that I think we have a shot.

But I think he is averaging around 35% so my confidence is not that high.

Both teams lack offensive power, both teams have improving defenses. This will be low-scoring and ugly.

Final prediction:

Oakland 16
Broncos 14

I'll take oakland, they actually look like they have a run game this season, and i'm not buying that Denver is any better after starting 2-0 vs 2 bad teams, people forget Denver jumped to 2-0 last year too, and we all know how well that turned out

I think the Raiders will be able to run on the Broncos. I picked Oakland and it should be close.

The only way the raiders even have a chance, is if their defense plays lights out. We all know russell is trash, so if the Broncos can get an early lead forcing the raiders to throw, the game's over. The Broncos, have a pass rush for the first time in five years, russell is going to have another bad day (no surprise).

Denvers D has been impressive, I know it's cliche but good defenses shut bad offenses down.

Bengals had their lowest point total (and only loss) against Denver.
Browns scored 6.
Raiders also had their lowest point total.

16 points over 3 weeks is impressive even if you played Oakland three times.

Russell with a great game (anything over 50% completion percentage is great for him)... too bad he only averaged 2.85 yards per attempt.
