Nick Barnett out for the season now too. That makes 3 of our starters(Grant, Burnett, Barnett) to go down for the year this early.

Hopefully AJ Hawk can produce like he did last week for the rest of the season. Doesn't look like we'll be trading him so we can only hope to see him play well in Barnett's place.

I don't have a great feeling about this game considering the way we've played the last two weeks but hopefully we strike some momentum early and never lose it. We're 2.5 point favorites and I hope we can just dominate the Redskins secondary. Woodson should be able to take away Moss for the game, but I'm worried about Cooley tearing us up over the middle.

Washington will win this game. The defense we saw last week will go from bad to worse without Barnett, Burnett, and (probably) Nick Collins. This looks like this could be the beginning of a long stretch for the Packers.

Packers. The Skins don't look like the type of team to give Green Bay their second loss, even if they do give them a fit.

Adam Schefter is reporting that Willis McGahee and Deangelo Williams are the two targets for the Packers. The Packers have said they don't see McGahee being a great fit for their system and they have been in recent talks with the Panthers. The Panthers want to wait until after the Bears game though. If they lose, they will be 0-5 and in full rebuilding mode, which means they will not be afraid to get rid of Williams since the have Stewart and Goodson backing him up. Trading Williams for a few picks would be an enticing offer for them. Packers won't go for it unless they are able to sign Williams to a new deal that will make him a Packer past 2010. Apparently the dialogue has gone very well and in a very positive manner thus far.

Please God, please let this happen.

On the plus side - look at this defense!! Peprah has been all over the place and hasn't really been burned. He's made numerous great open field tackles, something Burnett struggled with.

Perhaps an unsung hero - Raji is getting pressure nearly every play. Every week it looks like he's getting better and better and fully worth that 9th overall pick.

And Peprah gets beat for a TD He was there though. Got turned around it looked like. And Matthews is out with cramping in his hammy. Just preventive but given his hammy issues, probably a good choice.

Typical Packers game though. They don't see to be able to put the foot down on the throat and finish teams. Win or lose, they let every team back into the game. Very frustrating.

Packers are done now. If Jermichael's injury is anything significant, there is no point in getting a running back. One player isn't going to make the difference. Amazing how many significant injuries one team can sustain in such a little amount of time.
