Week 6: (5-0) New York Giants @ (4-0) New Orleans

I'm trying not to get too excited, but damnit, this Saints team is playing great right now.

Gregg Williams has been amazing for this defense. He utilizes his personnel, so well, and Roman Harper has kind of become his toy that he moves around all over the field.

As for Brees, he's been doing this for the past four years in New Orleans. It's just now he's got a running game and a defense. As others have said, if you don't get pressure on him, he'll shred you. Not many people have gotten pressure on him -- he's only been sacked four times this year (2008-13x's, 2007 - 16x's, and 2006 - 18x's).

Just a fun day at the Dome.

jacobs only had 7 carries but averaged almost 5 yards per run. he made the best of what he got. hard to stick to the running game when your defense gives up 34 points in the first half

Saints treated us like Rick James treated Charlie Murphy. Without a pass rush, our secondary is exposed big time. Just in time for Warner & Co. Sunday night.

Am I the only one that thought we should of just took a knee after the goal line stand before the half. Down 10, 30 seconds left, no timeouts left on our own 30. Just take the knee knowing your getting the ball after the half with a chance to make it a 3-point game. But hindsight is 20/20.

I'm confident in our coaching staff to make the adjustments and come better prepared if we meet them in the playoffs.

If they started from the 20, yeah, take a knee. But I didn't have a problem with the decision. I figured Eli would get the offense in FG position. Giants just didn't execute.

Brown was TERRIBLE at the safety spot...he was always a step late or in the wrong position...I saw the back of his jersey a lot.

Yep. I watched the NFL Network's highlight show last night, and they highlighted the Saints' playaction throughout the game. Every play looked the same -- C.C. Brown bit big time on each fake.

I was at the game and was wondering how receivers were getting so wide open.

As far as the Giants pass rush, it's going to get back to normal next week, I think. The Saints offensive line has been the best pass-blocking unit since '06. Brees just plain doesn't get sacked, or pressured.

One more fun stat: Five games in, and the Saints haven't trailed yet this season.
