Week 8: (6-0) Broncos @ (3-3) Ravens

Broncos .. are they a LEGIT 6-0 team? Seriously. The week one, we all know was luck..yes sometimes it has to be on your side for Wins. Chargers choked. I don't see Baltimore falling below .500..I think they beat Denver without a question. That said, Go Saints!

If the Broncos aren't legit I don't see how anyone could make an argument that the Saints are.

Broncos opponents 16-12 (In games not played against Denver)
Saints opponents 14-10 (In games not played against NO)

It's pretty much the same strength of schedule, and while the Broncos aren't dropping 40 or 50 on teams, they're only giving up 11 points a game. Plus they've played 6 games while NO has only played 5.

It's getting hilarious watching people make excuses and claim the Broncos are winning cause of luck. Yeah they've caught some bounces but thats how football goes. And yeah they've beat up on a few shit opponents, but teams like the Eagles and Chargers have proven that you can struggle against a team like Oakland on the road. Denver went in there and murdered them.

Lol. People getting pissed off. I like the Broncos, don't get me wrong. The only game I said luck played into was the week one game against the Bengals, and at the time that win looked crappy because we didn't know how good the Bengals would actually be. That said, the only game I'd give credit to the Broncos bein' a legit team for is the win over the Patriots. Beating the Cowboys.. is laughable at this point. Look at who Dallas has beat, and they choke against teams that pose a threat. Yes, Chargers CHOKED. When you have the Broncos down at halftime, and 14 of the 17 broncos points are because of the return game, obviously the defense choked to let the Broncos offense step it up. Suddenly 6 wins ..and the Broncos are the class of the AFC. And I never said New Orleans was the class of the NFC or NFL. They did, at least..manhandle another undefeated team. They beat the Jets when they were undefeated, which at this point looks shitty anyway since the Jets have dropped three straight. I didn't mean to sound as though I wasn't giving Denver any credit, because going 5-0 or 6-0 at this point in the season is damn good, regardless. But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves, either. Take one week at a time, because any team can sneak up and beat you at any time..just ask the Eagles ;x

L-O-L at the Chargers choking. Of course their defense was going to give up more yards/points in the second half. We scored two return touchdowns, which means Kyle Orton and the offense missed out on two possessions. The Broncos only had something like 20 offensive plays in the first half. I guess the Patriots and Cowboys choked too, since they were both beating the Broncos at halftime.

If you ignore all the special teams touchdowns in the game, Denver still outscored San Diego. San Diego didn't choke, they just aren't very good.

A big reason Denver was down is cause San Diego returned a punt right before halftime. I guess we can just ignore that while pointing out how many Broncos points came from special teams.

I love how suddenly because people post opinions, and the Broncos fans are ready to crucify anyone that disagrees. Makes me wonder if I still want to admit liking the Broncos. Seriously? You have your opinions, I have my own. And to be honest, yeah you can say the Cowboys and the Patriots both choked. But the Broncos are good, I know this. I never said their 6-0 record was ALL lucky wins. Just week one. And like I said .. you have to be lucky sometimes to be undefeated. Look at Florida. Next time read the entire post, and don't pick out the parts you don't like.

You said a 2-2 team choked after getting beat by a 5-0 team. What did you honestly expect to happen when you wrote that crap?

We were a Matt Prater miss from being tied at the half as well.. If you aren't ahead of Denver at the half you are in trouble, because Mike Nolan has been dialing up the best halftime adjustments in the league this year. You think that all of the sudden the Chargers forgot about Elvis Dumervil in the 2nd half? You think that McDaniels didn't see that the Chargers had no one that could stick with Tony Scheffler? You didn't notice that BRIAN DAWKINS sat out basically the entire first half of the game, Ronald Fields and Mario Haggan both went down and the Chargers still got shut down? At some point the good coaching overtakes the luck...

I'd go one step further and say it doesn't matter what part of the game it is, if it's close Broncos will have a chance to win. As much credit as our D is getting, IMO not enough has gone Kyle Orton's way. I mean really, even if the Broncos are down I still feel good that Orton is going to lead a 98 game tieing scoring drive.

Seriously McDaniel's and the D get all the credit, all while Orton goes out there and produces in the clutch time and time again.

Man, it's funny and cool to see how much the 2009 Denver Broncos embodied the Team philosophy. Really, in almost every win we've had this year we needed everyone to be there, it's almost like a perfect storm from the owner down to the personnel.

Ravens will lose, but it's not going to be because of our offense. Denver is going to have to score more than 20 points if they want to win, and they will, because Whiffsaton and Foxworthless couldn't cover me.

I know Denver's D is quite good, but people don't know how explosive our O has really been.

The Broncos have signed NFL veteran and former University of Colorado punter Mitch Berger, who replaces Brett Kern.
It appears the Broncos were unhappy with Kern’s inconsistency in directional kicking, plus his tendency to boot long, low-trajectory punts that were ideal for returning.
While Kern was 10th in the NFL with a 46.1-yard gross average, he was 27th with a 34.5-yard net after San Diego’s Darren Sproles returned a punt for a touchdown last Monday night.CQ
Kern also had an NFL-high six touchbacks on only 27 punts this year.CQ
In making their first roster move of the regular season, the Broncos not only changed punters but the holder for kicker Matt Prater.
“”We’ll just have to work hard this week and do the best we can,” Prater said. “”Mitch has a lot of experience holding so we should be fine. I was sad, though, when I saw Brett pack his bag and leave. We were really close. He was like a brother to me. It’s one of the tough parts about this game.”
The Broncos worked out Berger last week and signed him Monday. This will be his 16th NFL season as a punter and kickoff specialist and the Broncos will be his 12th NFL team, counting the uniforms he wore in the preseason.CQ

Born and raised in Canada, Berger punted and kicked off for Bill McCartney’s CU Buffaloes in 1992-93. Drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1994, Berger’s long NFL career took him last season to the Pittsburgh Steelers where he wound up punting in Super Bowl XLIII.
He had a good game, too, averaging 46.3 yards on three punts to earn his first Super Bowl ring.

With that said you can't be 6-0 and not be legit. Does it mean they are going to be good long term or is this just another Belicheat coach having a good 1st yr(see mangini). Who cares they are good this yr and people need to stop hating on them...
