Best signing we made had to be Chester Taylor, don't like the clusterfuck we have at Tight end, and letting both Brown and Ogunleye walk for Peppers was retarded.

Mark Anderson is going to have to make some unbelievable improvements for me to like this offseason. He and Tommie Harris are the key to our defense, Harris needs to play at his best, and Anderson needs to quit pass rushing every down.

Bears have regressed steadily in the last 5 years. I think a lot of it can be attributed to Urlacher's inability to stay healthy. He was a linchpin in the middle. As important as a pass rush is to a Tampa-2, having an athletic MLB to drop into the seam is equally essential.

It would probably help the defense out a bit if they didn't trot out a turd sandwich on offense every Sunday.

I agree, but the Bears can only blame Urlacher's injuries to a certain extent. One, if you know he gets injured all the time, it might be good to have an actual backup MLB. Hillenmeyer and Roach are really OLBs, and Roach is too stupid to call the plays. Two, regardless of injury this is Urlacher's 11th season in the NFL, so you'd think that Chicago would have a "succession plan" in place by now.

Hmm....Last five years because of Blak? In 04 he missed half the year cuz of a bad calf, and the team sucked....But 05 through 08 he played in all 16 games including the superbowl run. Last year he had the bad wrist. I wouldnt say that he has much to do with it. He and Lance have been two of the most steady players on the team and in the case of Lance in the league.

I think you were more correct in saying that once the pass rush stopped, so did the Bears. Tommie hasnt been healthy since the last half of 06. He is the real difference maker.

Ah Terry Johnson is Tank Johnson. Didn't even occur to me last night. He was a good pick. Another guy they didn't need to let go.

Olsen was a nice pick, especially considering the fact that the Bears rarely have any of the guys they've drafted turn into starters.

Have they wised up put him back at full time KR/PR/3rd WR where he belongs ?

By everything I've read/heard that's 100% on Jerry Angelo. The difficult part was Hester was putting up record breaking numbers just as he was due for a contract, so the Bears were in a horrible PR spot. Do you let the most electric return man in the game go to free agency or do you pay him? They paid him and Angelo wants to get the most return on investment so the Bears have had the endless "teach Devin how to play the WR position" thing we've seen.

I love not caring about the Bears anymore, makes it so much easier to laugh at what a bad organization they are.

You can be a fan of whatever team you want regardless of geographic location. But when that team has struggles, you shouldn't bail on them.

The second they start doing things correctly, wouldn't that make you a bandwagon fan? You're there when times are good, and not when times are bad? I get pissed off as well at times but that is my team.

from what ive heard, Lovie wanted Ron gone because Ron was an incredibly hot head coaching candidate at the time. It would have been very easy for Jerry Angelo to shitcan Lovie Smith and promote the guy getting tons of credit for the only aspect of the team that was working and getting a 6-7 year run at things just like Matt Millen did. I am not quite prepared to hand him all the credit for the teams success, but i think losing Ron and combod with Urlacher's issues is the two most important reasons the bears defense isnt very good anymore. that guy, Brian, was supposed to be the truth. but it just hasn't happened for him.
